Who You Are &amp; What You'll Do: 
 
The job holder will be a member of cross functional project teams providing product development capability across the Ready to Drink brand portfolio. This role will focus on product development for Brisk and Pure Leaf, which are North American brands. In this role they will be responsible for owning and delivering product development activities within agreed projects with an onus on practical based activities in our food laboratory or pilot plant facility including:<ul><li>
Design and execute practical and lab-based work programs linked to assigned projects, including initiating and maintaining formal lab notes, trial reports, experimental write-ups, and handover documents.</li><li>
Contribute to project timelines, risk analysis, and resource loading for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory aspects, and company policies.</li><li>
Source ingredients and manage supplier interactions, including documentation, samples, ordering, and specification builds, while integrating quality into parent company systems and processes.</li><li>
Generate prototypes to meet project requirements, liaising with the pilot plant for larger-scale production, managing non-standard ingredient ordering, and providing key documentation.</li><li>
Lead the creation and delivery of product-related documentation, including consumer testing materials, registration, certification, and local BU-specific requests.</li><li>
Own functional specification delivery and utilize digital tools to ensure technical outputs for artwork and labeling, coordinating with specification experts, concentrate teams, and QA for alignment.</li><li>
Manage scale-up trials to confirm viability, including trial briefing and acting as point of contact with SC, Technical Contact Managers, Quality teams, and suppliers.</li><li>
Coordinate with Consumer Technical Insights, Sensory, and Brand Insights to support prototypes, panels, and consumer tastings, and manage prototype sample shipments to test locations and stakeholders.</li><li>
Ensure regulatory compliance for prototype development and ingredient selection, liaising with local deploy partners and cascading outputs to relevant stakeholders.</li><li>
Support broader technical activities and R&amp;D requirements, maintain awareness of competitor landscape, supply chain models, and liaise with parent company groups for knowledge building.</li></ul>

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120.  Job Purpose and Impact
 
 
 The Food Scientist will provide technical expertise to new product development for product line growth and technology and process development for the creation of new capabilities. In this role, you will coordinate with other scientists to innovate new product development by identifying and implementing technical solutions to meet business goals. You will be partnering with customers and other cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and customer-focused product delivery.
 
 
 Key Accountabilities
 
 
 <ul>

 Identify product growth and new product opportunities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze and interpret market data to take advantage of opportunities and minimize adverse trends.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay abreast of current literature and analytical advancements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide technical guidance and leadership on products, process development and improvement, quality systems and regulatory oversight.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner and stay connected with cross functional teams that include marketing, insights, sales, ops, food safety quality and regulatory.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide findings and analysis with insights, research and commercial brand to develop short- and long-term testing programs for experimental and commercial products and hybrids.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate and build partnership with sales, business management and marketing partners to identify customer needs and translate these into new product development opportunities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
 </li>

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 Minimum Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Two years of relevant work experience or a Master&rsquo;s degree.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work in a cold environment and lift up to 30 lb.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to travel up to 30%
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Preferred Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Meat Science, Food Science, or Animal Science
 </li>
 <li>
 Master's degree or other post-secondary degree
 </li>
 <li>
 Two or more years combined professional experience in the following areas: cooked protein formulation development, ingredient functionality, sensory, and product commercialization
 </li>
 <li>
 Tech-savvy and comfortable with evolving business-critical technology
 </li>
 <li>
 Strategic thinker with ability to build effective plans to support strategic initiatives
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working in a manufacturing environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working successfully in a matrixed organization
 </li>
 <li>
 Operations experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with experimental design, statistical modeling, and interpretation of data.
 
 
 </li>

 Compensation Data
 
 
 The expected salary for this position is approximately $75,000 to $100,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal.
