<p>
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology and the Department of Pediatrics at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and the Heart Center of Manning Family Children&rsquo;s is seeking a Cardiologist with expertise in adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) to join its growing ACHD program. The applicant should have specific expertise in adult congenital heart disease and be board certified/eligible in ACHD. The ACHD program recently obtained accreditation and is the only accredited program in the state of Louisiana. The candidate would be expected to grow this expanding program by performing clinical ACHD duties in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. Manning Family Children&rsquo;s is the founding member of a 6-hospital health system titled LCMC (Louisiana Children&rsquo;s Medical Center). Extensive relationships exist between Manning Family Children&rsquo;s and all other partner hospitals in the LCMC group, especially Touro Infirmary, University Medical Center and East Jefferson General Hospital. Additional opportunities exist in pulmonary hypertension, exercise physiology, our Fontan clinic, coronary artery disease/anomalies, imaging and other Heart Center programs depending on the candidate&rsquo;s expertise and interest. Academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. A joint appointment between Pediatric and Adult Cardiology is also possible.</p>

Other Information About the Position</b></p>
<p>
The Heart Center Faculty includes a team of 19 physicians, two cardiac surgeons, and 4 cardiac anesthesiologists. Subspeciality care in the Heart Center includes non-invasive imaging, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, expertise in Fontan management, home-monitoring, neurodevelopment, pulmonary hypertension, pediatric coronary artery disease, and heart failure. Currently, more than 200 heart catheterizations (75% interventional), close to 250 cardiothoracic surgeries, and 11,000 ambulatory visits are performed each year at Manning Family Children&rsquo;s.

Manning Family Children&rsquo;s Hospital is the only freestanding children&rsquo;s hospital in Louisiana and serves as the primary pediatric teaching site for LSUHSC Pediatrics. Currently, SEM houses the EngineeringMedicine (EnMed) medical education program (enmed.tamu.edu), an innovative program that represents a partnership among the Texas A&amp;M College of Engineering (COE), Texas A&amp;M Vashisht College of Medicine (VCOM), and Houston Methodist Hospital (HMH). Each of these partners has an outstanding national ranking and offers state-of-the-art facilities for education and research. The Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine - in partnership with Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) - is seeking a full-time pediatric gastroenterologist with significant expertise in nutrition and intestinal rehabilitation to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (GHN) at Texas Children's Hospital located in the Texas Medical Center (TMC) Campus in Houston, TX. TCH is a state-of-the-art 800 bed free-standing facility which houses 6 high acuity surgical suites and 4 Pediatric Subspecialty Intensive Care Units (84 rooms). The GHN division, which completed &gt; 30,000 outpatient visits and &gt; 3,300 endoscopies in 2024-25, offers specific GHN expertise in advanced endoscopy, aerodigestive disorders, celiac disease, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, hepatology and liver transplantation, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal rehabilitation, neurogastroenterology/motility and pancreaticobiliary disease. The division cares for over 100 children requiring home TPN as part of their intestinal rehabilitation. The division has a strong academic focus with over 200 IRB approved protocols, yielding more than 60 peer-reviewed publications per year, supported by multiple NIH and foundation grants.</p><p></p><p><br>
The recruited faculty would join a highly collaborative group of more than 35 MD/DO faculty, 10 advanced practice providers, 12 GHN fellows, 1 transplant hepatology fellow, and talented and dedicated staff comprised of clinical nurse coordinators, GHN specialized dieticians, social workers, endoscopy technicians and registered nurses.</p><p></p><p><br>
