The Core Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, technical integrity, and operational management of the Core. Primary duties include:</p><ul><li>

Service Management: Oversee the delivery of high-throughput techniques, including advanced patch-clamp, multi-patch recording (up to 8 cells), and microelectrode arrays (MEAs).</li><li>
Technological Support: Lead the Core's Patch-seq services, combining whole-cell recording with single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) for simultaneous physiological and transcriptomic profiling.</li><li>

<div>The Department of Information, Library, &amp; Research Sciences (ILRS) at the UNC Greensboro School of Education invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 1, 2026. This position is a 9-month appointment on the main Greensboro campus with promotion and tenure possibilities. Tenure-track faculty members have responsibilities in three areas: teaching, research, and service. Salary is $73,000-$76,000, commensurate with qualifications.<br>

ILRS offers Bachelors, Master&rsquo;s, and Ph.D. degrees in the intersecting areas of information, library, and research &amp; evaluation sciences, including a Master&rsquo;s of Library &amp; Information Science degree accredited by the American Library Association. According to the 2021 U.S. News &amp; World Report, the MLIS program is ranked #2 in North Carolina and #22 across the United States. We offer a fully online, synchronous Master of Library &amp; Information Science degree, as well as a variety of in-person and hybrid programs.
