Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented <b>Senior Project Control Engineer/ Specialist </b>to join our team!</p><p></p><p><b>
What You'll Be Doing:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of complex project control and cost control problems.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>
Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts status against an established baseline schedule.</p></li><li><p>
Sets up a baseline budget for resources, revenue, and cost using an appropriate WBS in coordination with the Project Manager.</p></li><li><p>
Analyzes, evaluates, forecasts, and reports about cost status against the established baseline in collaboration with the planning team.</p></li><li><p>
Prepares and updates on various weekly and monthly cost tracking reports.</p></li><li><p>
Establishes resource, revenue, and cost projections for projects in coordination with project teams.</p></li><li><p>
Performs variance analysis against baseline projections and initiates or recommends corrective actions.</p></li><li><p>
Utilizes historical data and trends to maintain a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.</p></li><li><p>
Monitors and tracks project progress and perform Earned Value Management, including calculation and reporting of EV, EAC and ETC to assess performance and forecast final project cost.</p></li><li><p>
Participates in monthly and quarterly reviews and supports the project team in explaining variances and justifications.</p></li><li><p>
Supports the Project Director in reviewing and finalizing the business plan.</p></li><li><p>
Completes performance reviews for direct reports and supports personnel development.</p></li><li><p>
Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.</p></li><li><p>
Coordinates with other departments to ensure that all costs are properly charged to jobs and that the project cost control function has full visibility.</p></li><li><p>
Develop and maintain schedules for construction and design projects</p></li><li><p>
Support Billing and Collection process from preparing invoices to coordinating with other stakeholders for timely collection</p></li><li><p>
Preparation of multiple Trackers / Logs to monitor cost related information and issues.</p></li><li><p>
Supervise and mentor Project Controls engineers when required</p></li><li><p>

These are hybrid positions, working 2 weeks onsite and 2 weeks remotely. The P6 Administrator will support the backend and schedules for Oracle based servers. Candidates must be able to work the software side and layouts of P6. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams, interfacing with engineering and operations to ensure consistent project controls practices that support strategic execution and mission success.</div>

<div></div><div>This position is hybrid and will work a schedule rotating from 2 weeks onsite to 2 weeks remote. LANL will provide travel to and from Los Alamos every 2 weeks, per diem, and lodging expenses. When working remotely, the candidate should be able to work between the hours of 9:00-4:00 MST. This position typically works a schedule of 9/80's, with every other Friday off of work.</div>

<li>Adheres to the Plutonium Facilities Engineering Division&rsquo;s policies, programs, procedures, and practices.</li>
<li>Verifies the adequacy and completeness of Plutonium Facilities Engineering schedule updates.</li>
<li>Performs schedule development, analysis, and maintenance using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.</li>
<li>Develops and maintains detailed resource-loaded schedules that align with project scope, milestones, and deliverables.</li>
<li>Monitors schedule performance, identify variances, and provide actionable recovery strategies.</li>
<li>Prepares and deliver comprehensive project controls reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to project engineers, engineering leads, and stakeholders.</li>

<li>Effective communication skills necessary to communicate, contribute, and be a part of a team.</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of project controls principles, including CPM scheduling and performance measurement.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Primavera P6.</li>
<li>Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.</li>
<li>Familiarity with earned value management principles and application.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of engineering and construction workflows.</li>
<li>Effective problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.</li>

<li>Familiarity with DOE, NNSA, or nuclear facility project requirements is a plus.</li>
<li>This position requires that the candidate is a US Citizen.</li>
<li>The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.</li>
<li>Candidates with an active clearance are preferred.</li>
<li>The candidate must be able to travel to Los Alamos to work onsite at LANL every 2 weeks.</li>
