Position Description:</b> Partner with Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EH&amp;S) and project teams to enforce site compliance with company, EH&amp;S programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements on a single construction project within business unit&rsquo;s geographic area. Lead training of safe work practices to educate and inform and guide project teams on management of environmental and hazardous materials reports and conditions.
</p><p><b>Essential Duties &amp; Key Responsibilities:</b>
</p><ul><li>Lead, direct, and enforce Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EH&amp;S) on single construction project, based on safety staffing requirements as defined by Headquarters (HQ) EH&amp;S policy.
</li><li>Manage time and resource allocation and provide safety leadership to assigned project.
</li><li>Assess project Safety practices and known and potential safety related exposures, develop and implement action plans to mitigate risks, and drive changes to improve project team safety awareness and activities.
</li><li>Communicate requirements for improving performance to project leadership and team for adoption and adherence to changes, using project specific-safety standards, best management practices, and EH&amp;S policies and procedures.
</li><li>Understand site safety trends and participate in reducing Project Incident Rates by meeting or exceeding established Business Unit (BU) goals and manage regulatory exposures to zero citations.
</li><li>Develop training for project site-specific needs to educate project management, employees, subcontractors, and Turner Trade employees on Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EH&amp;S) programs, policies, and procedures and provide training on safe work practices to encourage and enforce adoption and adherence.
</li><li>Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with company and Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EH&amp;S) policies, Federal, State, and Local regulations, and owner contractual requirements.
</li><li>Maintain and enhance working relationships with project staff and subcontractor Safety Representatives.
</li><li>Develop and enforce project Safety Program and related policies and procedures.
</li><li>Identify unsafe actions and conditions and engage with project team to implement immediate corrective actions in accordance with Turner, Federal, State and Local regulations and owner requirements.
</li><li>Develop accountability model for project team to ensure pre-planning for activities and tasks for subcontractors and trades.
</li><li>Review subcontractor safety programs for completeness and compliance with company and EH&amp;S policies, Federal, State, and Local regulations, and owner contractual requirements.
</li><li>Review quality of Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) for project subcontractors and Trades based on contractual requirements.
</li><li>Hold Preconstruction planning meetings with subcontractors to review site safety program and job hazard analysis for their scope of work and to establish and review risk mitigation plans.
</li><li>Develop safety action items for Preconstruction meetings and verify subcontractors conduct training as per OSHA standards.
</li><li>Conduct effective worker orientation program for new employees; administer and record participation.
</li><li>Collaborate with project leadership to create project specific safety reports, assess metrics, and make recommendations for improvement over baseline.
</li><li>Ensure timely log of subcontractors&rsquo; toolbox safety meetings.
</li><li>Conduct and review project team&rsquo;s safety audits, assess recommended corrective actions, and issue reports of violations and/or unsafe practices for immediate resolution.

Texas Critical Systems

<p>TCS Mechanical is seeking a site safety manager in the Austin TX office area. The individual in this position will work directly with the project management team, sub-contractors, and site safety management in the implementation of TCS Mechanical&rsquo;s EHS Environmental health and safety program. The safety manager working with project team management, sub-contractors, and safety director in recognizing and addressing safety hazards and behaviors to achieve a positive safety culture, compliance, and implementation of TCS&rsquo; EHSP. The safety manager will also work closely with field leads to ensure proper pre planning of work for all appropriate work scope has been completed prior to any performing any work activity. The safety manager will be responsible in promoting and utilizing behavior-based safety practices to ensure team members are engaging in proactive safety policies and procedures.</p><p>Job responsibilities to include but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Maintain Company and Facility specific Health, Safety &amp; Environmental (HSE) standards, programs and goals by learning and applying HSE procedures as established by the Company on a project site.</li><li>Promote HSE standards and goals on the project to promote a safe and productive work environment.</li><li>Conduct surveys, audits, evaluations, inspection reports, and investigations of incidents.</li><li>Maintains safety equipment inventories and performs periodic safety equipment inspections.</li><li>Foster and develop project management team with engagement in safety management processes.</li><li>Maintain project EHS safety files and documentation associated with training, certifications, environmental, investigation reporting to meet TCS&rsquo; record keeping policies.</li><li>Generate safety reports for project team to include safety trends, leading and lagging indicators to facilitate and foster proactive safety culture.</li><li>Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, implementing safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.</li><li>Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, twist, bend, and lift 40 pounds</li><li>Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner &ndash; meet safety schedule deadlines</li><li>Ability to smock up and work in a clean room environment</li><li>OSHA 30 Certification required, CSHO, CHST a plus</li><li>First Aid CPR trained</li><li>Competent Person, train the trainer, , and other certifications a plus</li><li>High School Education or above</li><li>4 Years Experience in Safety Related Field</li><li>Familiar with Microsoft office suite</li><li>Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screen</li><li><i>Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.</i></li></ul><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
