A leasing consultant primary role is to attract and screen potential tenants, provide information about available properties, negotiate lease terms, and ensure a smooth leasing process.
As a leasing consultant you will be responsible for leasing properties to prospective tenants, ensuring high occupancy rates, and maintaining positive relationships with current residents. Your role involves marketing and promoting available properties, conducting property tours, screening applicants, negotiating lease agreements, and providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with the property manager and other team members to achieve leasing goals and maintain property standards.
</div><div>The Leasing Consultant primary focus shall include but not limited to:</div><div><ul><li>
Stay informed about local rental market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations</li><li>
Participate in property marketing events, outreach programs, and promotional activities to maximize property visibility</li><li>
Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including leasing apartments to qualified prospects, preparing lease paperwork and assisting future residents to ensure a smooth move-in</li><li>
Respond to in-person, phone and email inquiries, provide leasing information, make appointments</li><li>
Assist with completing weekly, monthly and special reports</li><li>
Determine resident needs and respond promptly to any resident needs/concerns</li><li>
Effectively and accurately explain all lease and community policies to new and current residents</li><li>
Plan, organize and conduct resident functions as needed and as directed by Property Manager</li><li>
Uphold ethical standards, fair housing regulations, and company policies in all leasing activities</li><li>
Work at least one to two weekends in a month</li></ul></div><div>
Qualifications</div><div><ul><li>
Valid Drivers License</li><li>
1+ year of sales or leasing experience strongly preferred</li><li>

Collaborate with the Community Manager and leasing team to identify, attract, and qualify potential tenants</li><li>
Market vacant units using a mix of online listings, social media, signage, and outreach events to generate leads and maintain visibility</li><li>
Accurately communicate community features, floorplans, pricing, availability, and lease terms to prospects</li><li>
Guide prospects through the leasing process from initial inquiry to signed lease, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations</li><li>
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the local rental market, competitor communities, and emerging trends</li><li>
Perform routine inspections of model units and vacant apartments to ensure optimal presentation and functionality</li><li>
Assist with resident retention efforts, community events, and ongoing customer service to enhance resident satisfaction and engagement</li></ul>
