<p>The Project Editor provides editorial support for publications and educational programs, including teacher materials, ancillaries, licensed trade books, digital products, catalogs, and marketing collateral. The project editor is responsible for managing projects, often multiple projects simultaneously and usually for the lifetime of the project. Projects may be multi-year and multi-component, or small-scale (for example, new books, reprints, workshop products, articles, new or replacement lessons, lesson components and products, small guides, research reports, and marketing collateral). Finished products will be published in both print and digital formats.

The Proposal Coordinator, Editing &amp; DTP plays a pivotal administrative and production role in the proposal team. While performing standard proposal coordinator duties, the primary focus of this position is on professional desktop publishing (DTP) and editing. The position also provides key administrative support, including phone coverage, coordinating meetings, and assisting with documentation and basic travel or expense tasks. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
The Proposal Coordinator, Editing &amp; DTP assists with all stages of proposal development: coordination, timeline tracking, facilitating reviews, and supporting compliance efforts.</li><li>
Leads all formatting, layout, and assembly of proposal submission packages using advanced tools (e.g., MS Word, PowerPoint, InDesign).</li><li>
The Proposal Coordinator, Editing &amp; DTP reviews, edits, and proofreads proposal content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and branding (adhering to company style guides and client requirements).</li><li>
Ensures proper and consistent application of templates, integrate graphics/charts/images, and prepares &quot;camera-ready&quot; electronic/print deliverables.</li><li>
The Proposal Coordinator, Editing &amp; DTP manages document control, scheduling, proposal logs, meeting minutes, and communication tracking.</li><li>
Schedules meetings, manages bid tracking/reporting, organizes shared drive folders, and assists with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and documentation processes.</li><li>
Fields executive phone calls and provides administrative support for expense reports, travel arrangements, and team events.</li><li>
Assists in ad hoc projects, proposal production activities, and maintain documentation libraries.</li><li>
Supports research, Request for Qualification (RFQs), Request for Information (RFIs), FOIA submissions, and report generation as needed.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in English, Business, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred; combination of experience and education acceptable.</li><li>
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in proposal coordination, editing, or desktop publishing (government proposal experience highly desired).</li><li>
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and PowerPoint) and desktop publishing software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).</li><li>
May require extended or irregular hours during proposal deadlines.</li><li>
Demonstrated, detail-oriented editing and proofreading skills, mastery of grammar, style, and document layout</li><li>
Strong eye for layout, composition, and visual storytelling within compliant, professional documents.</li><li>
Experience providing administrative support functions such as phone coverage, messages, meeting scheduling, document organization, and basic travel or expense assistance.</li><li>
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines; exceptional time management and prioritization capability.</li><li>
Experience working cross-functionally with writers, subject matter experts, and production staff.</li><li>
Strong written and oral communication skills; able to provide guidance on editorial best practices and visual standards.</li><li>
Working knowledge of document management systems and electronic submission platforms is preferred.</li><li>
Proactive and self-directed with a high degree of professionalism.</li><li>

As part of the Assignment Desk &mdash; the newsroom's nerve center &mdash; you'll find distinctive enterprise stories while work closely with managers to oversee news coverage. </b></p><ul><li>Gather and organize press releases, emails, phone calls, and viewer tips. Identify which of the those will lead to compelling and engaging content for all digital platforms and newscasts
