<div><div><p><b>ROLE PURPOSE:
</b></p><p>The Child Protection (CP) Officer will lead and oversee the implementation of the child protection (CP) project activities including case management, mental health &amp; psychological support and community mentorship while ensuring that they are in line with Save the Children Child Protection common approaches and standard operating procedures. He/She will have significant responsibility to ensure the delivery of timely CP activities with high quality. He/she will manage a team composed 4 caseworkers, psychologist, facilitator and the community mentors. The CP officer will also ensure timely submission of requested reports.

</b></p><p>This project aims at providing child protection and MHPSS services for refugees and asylum seekers children and families at risk including unaccompanied and separated children living in Alexandria and Damietta. Additionally, the project aims to support local communities.<br>

<div><div><p><b>KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
</b></p><p><b>Project Planning &amp; Implementation:
</b></p><ul><li>Oversee the implementation of all Child Protection (CP) activities including case management, delivery of emergency cash, financial assistance to UASC, and psychological support services ensuring high quality deliverables to fulfil our obligations to stakeholders at all levels;
</li></ul><ul><li>Support the Project Manager to ensure that the project operates according to the work plans, budget, timeline and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&amp;E) system as designed.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure that caseworkers are conducting clear and accurate screenings, assessment and action plans while maintaining clear, comprehensive, accurate records of all contact with beneficiaries following the inter- agency and SCI case management standards operating procedures.
</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct regular case file audit to ensure that they are up to date and check quality and consistency of work.
</li></ul><ul><li>Lead and oversee the implementation of the MHPSS team ensuring high quality deliverables are developed and implemented, and fulfil our obligations to stakeholders at all levels.
</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain close coordination with the Child Protection and MHPSS technical advisor to ensure that the project activities are implemented in quality.
</li></ul><ul><li>Support mainstreaming of MHPSS interventions across the relevant project components.
</li></ul><ul><li>In coordination with senior officer in Cairo, review BIAs and BIDs and conduct monthly supervision for 3 caseworkers/ Senior case worker.
</li></ul><ul><li>Actively participate in the Case Management internal coordination meetings led by the CP TA.
</li></ul><ul><li>Represent SCI in the different relevant working groups as per agreement with the field manager.
</li></ul><ul><li>Support and ensure the fidelity of implementation of SCI Common Approaches.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure proper data management and data protection of all the beneficiaries&rsquo; data.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure mainstreaming of SC Child Safeguarding policy in all the program activities;
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure SCI policies and procedures are being adhered to improve programme operational efficiency;
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure delivering a safe programming and risk management aspect of the case management system.
</li></ul><p><b>Team Management:
</b></p><ul><li>Provide managerial support to 4 staff members including conducting quarterly performance evaluation.
</li></ul><ul><li>In coordination with the Senior Officer, develop the capacity building plan for all the team;
</li></ul><p><b>Reporting:
</b></p><ul><li>Ensure accurate monitoring &amp; evaluation and indicator tracking plans for all the activities with support of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning team;
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure developing timely and quality technical reports as per the project donor&rsquo;s requirements against the agreed indicators;
</li></ul><ul><li>Compile concise quantitative and qualitative reports on a monthly, and quarterly basis;
</li></ul><p><b>Coordination and collaboration </b>:
</p><ul><li>Support the field manager, project manager and senior officer in developing good relationships with the different stakeholders including the donor, partners, government authorities, private sector and other actors to ensure continued support for SC programmes and enlist their support and assistance in working towards achieving sustainable and replicable programme models;

</b></p><ul><li>Promote children's rights, contributing to their well-being and protection in times of emergencies, guided by humanitarian principles and code of conduct.
</li></ul><ul><li>During emergencies, he/she should act in a way that facilitates SCI&rsquo;s response to emergencies, giving priority to all assigned.

Upon arrival, the officer will meet with the client or authorized representative to assess the situation and determine the appropriate level of executive protection support required. Duties may include conducting a preliminary risk assessment, coordinating protective coverage, providing personal escort services, assisting with secure transportation arrangements, and implementing immediate protective measures to ensure the safety and security of the client. Officers must maintain a professional appearance, follow established company procedures, and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and operational protocols while performing these duties.</p><p>
Failure to maintain the required response capability or to meet the established <b>90-minute response time</b> without a valid and documented reason may be subject to review and corrective action in accordance with company policy. Security officers assigned to executive protection duties must meet the <b>minimum qualifications required to serve as a commissioned security officer in the State of Arkansas</b> and must maintain all required licenses, certifications, and training necessary to legally perform armed security services within the state. Officers must remain in good standing and in full compliance with all regulatory standards established by the Arkansas State Police Private Security and Investigations Division, which oversees the licensing and regulation of private security officers within Arkansas.</p><p>
 Officers must also possess a <b>valid driver&rsquo;s license</b> and maintain access to a <b>reliable personal vehicle</b> in order to respond to assignments at various locations when applicable. The vehicle must be properly insured and maintained to ensure dependable transportation for duty-related travel.
