EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
 Either: A high school diploma and experience performing patrol or investigative duties with a public law enforcement agency OR A bachelor’s degreeAcademic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license Must be able to pass a credit check, psychological evaluation, reading comprehension test, and a medical screening Will be required to attend and successfully complete the basic law enforcement certification program at the SC Criminal Justice Academy if not already certified Must be able to obtain a SC Constable Commission I, as required by SLED

Duties include:<ul><li>Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.</li><li>Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.</li><li>Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>U.S. citizenship is required.</li><li>Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.</li><li>Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.</li><li>Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.</li><li>Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J.
