Role Overview
<br>We are seeking a compassionate and culturally attuned Consultant Psychiatrist fluent in Arabic to join our multidisciplinary mental health team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will provide expert psychiatric care to adult patients, integrating evidence-based practices with cultural sensitivity to support mental wellness across diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
<br><ul>
<li>Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adult patients</li>
<li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions</li>
<li>Provide medication management and monitor treatment efficacy</li>
<li>Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and primary care providers to ensure holistic care</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using EMR systems</li>
<li>Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives</li>
<li>Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies</li>
<li>Uphold ethical standards and comply with DHA regulations and clinical governance protocols</li>

Qualifications & Experience

<li>Medical degree with specialization in Psychiatry</li>
<li>Valid Consultant-level certification (e.g., UK CCT, Arab Board, or equivalent)</li>
<li>Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is essential</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in adult psychiatry</li>
<li>DHA eligibility or willingness to obtain licensure</li>
<li>Proven ability to work in multicultural environments with sensitivity to Middle Eastern cultural norms</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills</li>

This position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality care across diverse treatment settings, including inpatient, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). You will also provide consultative services, oversee mid-level providers, and play a key role in our GME program by teaching and supervising residents and medical students.<br>
Our practice is expanding to include outpatient services, creating an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and contribute to program development.<br>

<p>The Physician collaborates with the Team Leader for a fully staffed ACT which serves an SPMI/dual diagnosis population. Staffing includes RNs, therapists, case managers, SUD counselors, and RSS. The Physician's core role includes diagnosis, collaborating in multidisciplinary treatment planning, ordering and reviewing lab work, and prescribing. The Physician provides clinical consultation regarding crisis intervention and mechanisms to prevent crisis situations. This is completely outpatient. Scheduling frequency of visits and amount of time for a visit are based on clinical judgements, not on quotas. The MD for whom we are seeking coverage may go into the community on average 1x/week.
