The Policy Analyst leads the Regulatory &amp; Permitting Study supporting Wisconsin&rsquo;s Forests FIRST strategy. This independent role translates complex statutes, rules, and administrative processes into actionable insights and recommendations. The analyst conducts regulatory inventories, structured interviews, and comparative policy analyses to identify key barriers and develop implementation playbooks that guide administrative or statutory reforms. 
Key Responsibilities

The Digital Innovations Policy team examines emerging issues at the nexus of technology and payments, clearing, and settlement &ndash; most notably related to digital assets. These issues include the changing nature of money and payments platforms in an increasingly digital environment; the potential benefits and risks associated with digital assets such as stablecoins and other digital currencies; the potential effects of artificial intelligence (AI) on payments; and the supervisory and regulatory framework for emerging payments platforms, activities, and institutions.

<div>The Policy Analyst position is responsible for supporting the development and revision of operational policies and procedures for the Westminster Public Safety Communications Center. 
 
This temporary role is critical in developing, reviewing, and updating operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and national standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess a strong background in policy writing and emergency communications, supporting the agency's accreditation efforts (particularly CALEA standards). 
 
This is a temporary position lasting no more than two (2) years unless project is completed sooner, then the position will end. The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate.</div>
