Summary:<br>
The Medical Assistant I, Certified provides routine clinical and administrative support to providers and other health care team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Responsibilities:<br>
1. Performs rooming and/or intake process, collecting and data, including vital signs, height, weight, and data related to patient&rsquo;s reason for visit.<br>
2. Collects patient and family data, including medical and social history.<br>
3. Reviews patient&rsquo;s current medication list, allergies and preferred pharmacy.<br>
4. Assists the provider as directed, during treatments, examinations and procedures.<br>
5. Collects specimens and performs phlebotomy.<br>
6. Administers medications under the direction of a provider.<br>
7. Performs tests, for examples EKG, eye exams, under the direction of a provider.<br>
8. Reviews the patient record to determine whether patient requires any routine health screenings.<br>
9. Ensures exam/procedure room contains appropriate supplies, equipment, forms and educational materials are available and ready for use during visit/procedure.<br>
10. Provides patient with after-visit, follow-up, self-care or procedural instructions and/or educational materials as directed.<br>
11. Prepares, cleans, stocks and maintains exam and treatment rooms.<br>
12. Cleans and sterilizes instruments.<br>
13. Assists with patient registration, check in/check out, appointment scheduling, and scheduling of tests and treatments, and referrals.<br>
14. Answers clinic telephone and assists in-basket under the direction of a provider or nurse.<br>

Evaluate patient prior to testing, gathering pertinent clinical history, recent use of bronchodilator, and lab work to apply to each testing session to facilitate appropriate testing, proper diagnosis and reduce the possibility of retesting due to inadequate assessment.</p></li><li><p>
Demonstrate knowledge and skill in all standard Pulmonary Function Tests, applying of the American Thoracic Society, in pediatric and adult patient populations. Knowledge and skill includes device and interface selection, application, operational verification and calibration. Process reports of pulmonary function testing for physician interpretation the same day that the test is done. Comply with all Infection Prevention and Safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate familiarity with relevant TJC, DOHSS, CMS and other regulatory Standards.</p></li><li><p>

<p><b>Location:</b> Henderson, NV<br/><b>Practice Type:</b> Well-established Pulmonology &amp; Sleep Medicine Office</p><p>Job Summary</p><p>We are a well-established pulmonology practice in Henderson, NV seeking a <b>Part-Time</b> <b>Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)</b> with prior experience in <b>Pulmonology and/or Sleep Medicine</b> to work closely alongside our physician/owner. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, patient-focused practice dedicated to high-quality respiratory care. Position will be 23-28 hours per week.</p><p>The ideal candidate will assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of pulmonary and respiratory conditions while providing compassionate, comprehensive care to our patients.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of lung and respiratory conditions, including <b>asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, emphysema, COPD, lung cancer</b>, and other pulmonary disorders</li><li>Perform comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories</li><li>Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as <b>X-rays, CT scans, blood gases, and pulmonary function tests (PFTs)</b></li><li>Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with patient needs and under physician supervision</li><li>Provide patient education on pulmonary health, smoking cessation, and chronic disease management</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement optimal treatment plans</li><li>Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient medical records</li><li>Stay current with advances in pulmonology through continuing education and professional development</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Master&rsquo;s degree from an accredited <b>Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program</b></li><li><b>Current licensure</b> as a PA or NP in the state of Nevada (or ability to obtain)</li><li>Prior experience in <b>Pulmonology and/or Sleep Medicine preferred</b></li><li>Proficiency in pulmonary diagnostic procedures and chronic disease management</li><li>Strong clinical judgment and ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities</li></ul><p>Compensation &amp; Benefits</p><ul><li><b>Competitive salary based on experience</b></li><li><b>Benefit package available</b></li><li>Supportive, collaborative work environment</li><li>Opportunity to work closely with an experienced physician in a respected practice</li></ul><p>Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year</p><p>Work Location: In person</p>
