QA QC Supervisor Objective of the Role:To ensure that all construction, installation, and commissioning activities are performed in accordance with the project quality plan, approved procedures, drawings, specifications, and relevant international codes and standards. The QA/QC Supervisor is the frontline guardian of quality and integrity on the project.Key Responsibilities &amp; Duties:Inspection &amp; Verification:&middot; Conduct routine and witness inspections for all mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical/instrumentation disciplines. This includes:o Materials: Verifying material certifications (MTCs), material traceability, and proper storage.o Coatings &amp; Linings: Inspection of surface preparation (blasting), coating thickness (DFT), adhesion, and holiday detection.o Installation: Dimensional checks, bolt torquing, equipment alignment, grouting, and installation per drawings.o Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Witnessing NDT activities (RT, UT, MPI, LPT) and interpreting reports.o Electrical: Inspection of cable laying, terminations, grounding, and equipment installation.o Commissioning: Verifying cleanliness, tightness, and readiness of systems for handover.Documentation &amp; Reporting:&middot; Complete and maintain accurate inspection records, Inspection Test Reports (ITRs), and Quality Dossiers.&middot; Report and document any non-conformances (NCRs), initiate corrective action requests (CARs), and verify the implementation of corrective actions.&middot; Review and verify contractor/subcontractor quality documentation for compliance.Surveillance &amp; Auditing:&middot; Monitor the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) by all project personnel.&middot; Conduct surveillance audits of work areas and processes to ensure compliance with specified requirements.Coordination &amp; Communication:&middot; Liaise with construction supervisors, client representatives, and third-party inspectors to coordinate inspection activities.&middot; Attend daily coordination meetings to report on quality status, issues, and upcoming inspection hold points.&middot; Clearly communicate quality requirements and standards to the construction workforce.Safety:&middot; Ensure all inspection activities are carried out in compliance with project HSE procedures.&middot; Promote a culture of quality and safety on the worksite.Qualifications &amp; Experience:Mandatory:&middot; Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy, or related field).&middot; Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a QA/QC inspection role (with 3 years in supervisory role) within the oil and gas industry.&middot; EPC Project Experience: Must have proven experience on major EPC offshore projects through the construction and commissioning phases.&middot; Certifications: Hold valid internationally recognized certification(s) such as:o BGAS or NACE for coating inspection.o ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is highly advantageous.Preferred:&middot; Middle East Experience: Prior experience working on projects in Middle East UAE, Qatar or KSA.&middot; Multi-discipline knowledge: Understanding of multiple disciplines (Welding, Piping, Coatings, E&amp;I) is a significant advantage.Skills &amp; Competencies:&middot; Expert Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI, ISO, NACE).&middot; Meticulous Attention to Detail: Unwavering focus on identifying defects and non-compliances.&middot; Integrity: Must be unwavering in upholding quality standards, even under pressure.&middot; Strong Communication &amp; Interpersonal Skills: Ability to clearly explain technical issues and enforce requirements with construction crews and management.&middot; Proactive &amp; Assertive: Ability to identify potential quality issues before they occur.&middot; Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and experience with project Document Management Systems (DMS).Job Type: Contract Contract length: 12 months
