Job purpose</b></p><p></p><p>
The Certified Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation oncology team who knows the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment. They are aware of procedures commonly used in treatment delivery. They have the education and expertise necessary to generate radiation dose distributions and calculations in collaboration with medical physicists and radiation oncologists.
</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Job Functions
</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Design a treatment plan using a computer and/or manual computation with optimal beam geometry to deliver a prescribed radiation dose and spare critical structures per the Radiation Oncologist's prescription.</li><li>
Identify and contour normal and dose-limiting structures using images from one or more data sets. Assumes proficiency in image registration with various image data sets, including CT, MRI, and PET.</li><li>
Create and transfer reference images and localization markers for portal verification and treatment delivery to include DRRs, CBCTs, and other IGRT methods, as specified.</li><li>
Supervise, perform, or assist in simulations and tumor localization using specified imaging devices, including but not limited to CT, MRI, and PET.</li><li>
Supervise, perform, or assist in fabricating compensation filters, custom shields, wedges, and other beam-modifying devices.</li><li>
Supervise, perform, or assist in the planning and implementation of the production of molds, casts, and other immobilization devices.</li><li>
Communicate with the radiation therapist(s) and assume an advisory role in implementing the treatment plan, including the correct use of immobilization devices, compensators, wedges, field arrangement, and other treatment or imaging parameters.</li><li>
Perform calculations to deliver the prescribed dose accurately, document all pertinent information in the patient record, and verify the mathematical accuracy of all calculations by an approved method.</li><li>

The Clinical Coordinator in the School of Radiation Therapy plays a central role in advancing the clinical and didactic education of students in both junior and senior cohorts. This role requires a consistent on-site presence during assigned student clinical and didactic hours, campus and frequency may vary depending on operational needs and in alignment with JRCERT standards. Orientation includes: review all waiting room locations with the patients, review the daily check-in procedure, dressing room locations and waiting areas, refreshment stands and treatment areas. Help the Radiation Therapists maintain efficiency in the treatment rooms by ensuring the next patients are always gowned and ready to enter the treatment room. Job Summary and Qualifications</b></h5><p>
As a <b>Certified Respiratory Therapist</b>, you will be working as part of the team to provide top-notch respiratory care to our patients, administering routine treatment modalities (CPT, Nebulizer Treatments, etc.) according to physician&rsquo;s orders and policy. You will refer to physician order and set-up and monitor oxygen accordingly.
