What You'll Do:</b></p>

As a Radio Host / Digital Content Writer, you'll play a key role in shaping the daily sound and digital presence of our local stations. You'll <b>engage audiences across on-air, online, social, and in the community</b> by:</p>

JOB SUMMARY:</div><div>
Under minimal supervision, this position hosts music or other programs on one or more IRSC Public Media stations. Duties include: Preparing for show by researching content or music; operating automation system; editing content; voicing programs either live or via voice-tracking</div><div></div><div>
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</div><ul><li>
Host a regular program on broadcast and online platforms.</li><li>
Produces and electronically edits segments for air; uses editing tools in order to maintain high standards of sound quality.</li><li>
Produces and edits Underwriting, Promotional, and Public Service Announcements, as needed.</li><li>
Works weekends, early morning, or evening work hours as needed.</li><li>
Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul><div></div><div>
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</div><ul><li>
Associate Degree; two (2) years of related media experience (radio, TV, podcast or similar), as well as working with professional audio equipment, computers, portable recording devices, and editing software; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.</li><li>
Knowledge of radio station operations, journalistic and broadcast standards, and FCC rules.</li><li>
Ability to write and orally deliver content on-air, live and recorded.</li><li>
Skill in working with professional audio equipment, computers, portable recording devices, and editing software for broadcasts.</li><li>
Skill in organizing, managing time, and prioritizing.</li><li>
Ability to be accurate and detailed oriented, master new broadcast technologies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, use good judgment, multi-task, be self-motivated, be creative, and work independently as well as with others.</li></ul><div></div><div>
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</div><div>
This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.</div><div></div><div>
