Job Summary</b></h2>

A radiologic technologist, works directly under their Radiology Supervisor and indirectly under the supervision of a radiologist. </b></p><p><b>Purpose of Job:
</b></p><p>Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing radiologic technology service as follows:
</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
</b></p><ul><li><p>Operates and maintains fixed x-ray equipment.
</p></li><li><p>Positions patient and employs proper tube-part-film alignments and collimation for maximum patient protection.
</p></li><li><p>Processes film and file completed examinations according to established departmental procedures. Sends films to designated consultants as required.
</p></li><li><p>Complies with and enforce radiation and safety standards.
</p></li><li><p>Routes films to CHAS sites; ensures appropriate tracking of films sent and received; responsible for requesting, managing and returning film studies from other facilities as requested by providers.
</p></li><li><p>Provides complete documentation and perform related clerical duties as needed.
</p></li><li><p>Perform front desk duties as needed.
</p></li><li><p>Performs other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.
</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:
</b></p><p>Education/Experience : Current Washington State license to practice as a Radiology Technologist. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or be registry eligible and obtained within 6 months of hire. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, techniques of operating x-ray and other diagnostic imaging equipment, radiographic positioning, basic patient care and procedures required.<br>
</p><p></p><p>Skills : Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills required. Compassion for patients required. Must be able to work well in team environment. Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment required. Computer skills required. BLS (CPR/AED) required. Valid drivers&rsquo; license, insurance and vehicle required. Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment is required.
</p><p></p><p><b>Physical Demands:
</b></p><p>Radiology Technologists are required to stand, sit, and be mobile one-third to two-thirds of the time. They are required to use hands to finger, handle or feel over two-thirds of the time, as well as reach with hands and arms. Climbing or balancing occurs less than one-third of the time; while stooping, kneeling or crouching occurs between one-third and two-thirds of the day. Communicating by talking/hearing occurs over two-thirds of the day.
