Position Summary:</b> Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Radiologist (NM Radiologist) to support the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center (CMCVAMC) in Philadelphia, PA. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p><i>
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:</i></p><ul><li>
Interpret nuclear medicine imaging studies</li><li>
Provide final radiology interpretations for exams performed during regular tours when existing services are unavailable or insufficient.</li><li>
Maintain turnaround time standards and quality benchmarks.</li><li>
Participate in clinical consultations and multidisciplinary case discussions as needed.</li><li>
Support educational activities, including oversight and teaching house staff of academic affiliates.</li><li>
Adhere to CMCVAMC documentation, compliance, coding, and reporting protocols.</li><li>
Be available for consultation with clinicians and technologists regarding imaging exams and diagnostic recommendations.</li><li>
Communicate critical results to the ordering practitioner or surrogate immediately, and no later than 1 hour of detecting the finding.</li><li>
Compare current studies with prior relevant imaging when clinically indicated.</li><li>
Document and communicate discrepancies between preliminary and final interpretations, including date and time of communication.</li><li>
Interpret urgent and STAT NM studies within required timelines if such studies are assigned under the contract.</li><li>
Produce final reports that meet ACR standards.</li><li>
Include all required report elements in the interpretation.</li><li>
Use only approved abbreviations in the patient health record.</li><li>
Assign diagnostic codes for both normal and abnormal studies.</li><li>
