This position remotely interprets digital radiographs , ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and other diagnostic images, and provides evaluations for use by veterinarians in the clinical treatment of their patients.
 
The Target starting pay range for this position at full-time status is $175,000 - $250,000 annually with opportunity for additional commission. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training, and budget.
 
Currently, our preference is for qualified candidates with open night and weekend availability in their time zone.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
Remotely reviewing, evaluating and interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and other diagnostic images submitted digitally
 
Dictating diagnostic imaging reports using voice dictation software
 
Collaborative communications with colleagues through the AIS chat group.
 
Consulting with clients and other veterinary professionals through phone, email, Zoom, MS Teams and other forms of communication
 
Interact with AIS technical support and other personnel
 
Be involved in regular AIS clinic rounds, journal club, employee meetings and professional enrichment which may be held in person or in on-line formats
 
Participate in ACVR continuing education (CE) as well as other applicable CE events
 
Participate in various quality control programs
 
Maintain proficiency in clinical diagnostic skills and remain current on new theories, diagnostic approaches, and available treatments in the veterinary industry
 
Assist in other duties relevant to veterinary teleradiology
 
May be asked to participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
 
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
 
Diplomat of American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (EVDI)
 
Expertise interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine
 
Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in respective state

POSITION OVERVIEW
 
Radiology Partners, Indiana (RP IN WIR) is a 40 member sub-specialized, diversified, state of the art private radiology practice located in Lafayette, Indiana, just 30-60 minutes from Indianapolis. We serve Franciscan Alliance, the second largest health care delivery system in Indiana with 7 hospitals and multiple outpatient imaging centers, in a Tort Reform state.
 
Radiology Partners Indiana-WIR is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Breast Imager for our Western Indiana location with priority given to fellowship trained radiologist in Breast. This is a full-time, hybrid day position with no weekend or holiday duty covering 100% breast, 3 Days onsite and 2 Days Remote. We perform all modalities including MRI, CT, 3D Mammography, breast ultrasound, MRI-guided biopsies, Stereotactic, general ultrasound, bone density and general x-ray. There is a strong emphasis on women’s imaging inclusive of interventional breast procedures. Lafayette, home of Purdue, is located 30-60 minutes from Indianapolis and just 2 hours to Chicago, which allows great flexibility to live in or near the city.

MRI/CT Technologist at Houston Physicians Hospital

This multimodality position is accountable for performing quality MRI and CT Imaging through the application of advanced technical knowledge while maintaining strict attention to patient care. This position is accountable for providing expertise for all ages from neonatal/newborn to adults. The patient acuity ranges from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>General Clinical Practice</li>
<li>Know and demonstrate proficiency of all MRI and CT examinations.</li>
<li>Maintains the safety of the MRI and CT suite in conjunction with patients and multidisciplinary staff.</li>
<li>Evaluates examination orders for pertinent clinical information and assesses needs of patient and requirements for the exam in conjunction with the radiologist.</li>
<li>Recognize emergent patient conditions.</li>
<li>Coordinates critical patient transport with appropriate nursing personnel as applicable.</li>
<li>Collaborates with Patient Services and anesthesia as needed.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently.</li>
<li>Teaching/Personal Knowledge</li>
<li>Provide positive environment for employees to seek their highest potential.</li>
<li>Provides appropriate information and instruction to patient and family.</li>
<li>Department Policy and Procedure</li>
<li>Demonstrate competency and proficiency in performing all MRI and CT procedures as identified in the MRI/CT Tech competency.</li>
<li>Identify anatomical orientation, sequencing of images and verify accurate patient identification of images for accurate record retention and archiving.</li>
<li>Accurately assess, select, prepare and administer contrast materials to patients in accordance to best clinical practices.</li>
<li>Demonstrate competency and efficiency in safety in the MRI and CT suite.</li>
<li>Ability to assess patient condition; preserve patient safety through proper use of immobilization devices.</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality of all patient and facility related information.</li>
<li>Care of Environment and Equipment</li>
<li>Supplies and equipment necessary for patient care are stored in an organized and efficient manner.</li>
<li>Demonstrates correct and safe techniques in the use of equipment.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, neat and safe environment for patients and staff according to facility Policies.</li>
<li>Information Processing</li>
<li>Use computer system in documenting, correctly and accurately, patient information.</li>
<li>Proficient in computer terminology and applications.</li>
<li>Demonstrate the ability to perform all necessary computer operations to include PACS system. Verify accurate charge capture for procedures performed.</li>
<li>Accurately transcribe physician orders and facilitate correcting mistakes or unclear orders with appropriate people.</li>
<li>Quality Improvement and Safety</li>
<li>Report all safety hazards that could harm patients, visitors, or other facility employees.</li>
<li>Assist in identifying appropriate indicators for the department&rsquo;s Quality Improvement programs.</li>
<li>Discuss difficult cases with radiologist to reduce the number of patient call backs.</li>
<li>Initiate occurrence reports when problems are identified.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as required.</li>
</ul>
 Qualifications:
<ul>
<li> High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li> ARRT required</li>
<li> MRI and or CT certification preferred</li>
<li> State registration if required by respective state</li>
<li> BLS Certified</li>
<li> 2-3 years MRI experience</li>
<li> Possess a level of clinical expertise and competency in cross sectional anatomy</li>
<li> Venipuncture skills required</li>
<li> Ability to handle critical care situations which can create a high level of stress</li>
<li> Must be willing to cross train into X-ray</li>
</ul>
