The HRIS Records Specialist works with the lifecycle of employee records. This role is ideal for someone who has a high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and is a problem-solver.

What you'll do and what you'll bring:
Position Function: 
The HRIS Records Specialist will process employee actions in the HRIS, while ensuring accuracy of employee records in all systems. Other duties include overseeing maintenance of complete and accurate employee files, conducting regular audits to ensure data integrity, performing system testing, and maintaining strict confidentiality. 
Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Ensure complete and accurate employee records within HRIS and document management system.</li><li>
Process employee actions in HRIS, ensuring appropriate documentation is main‐tained, data integrity of each action, and relevant follow up items are complete. Prepare and issue letters confirming assignment changes, as appropriate.</li><li>
Perform final review of employee assignments in HRIS (Human Resource Information System) to proactively identify and resolve issues that may have an adverse impact on other processes or systems. Ensure data integrity and complete documentation of employee records, as well as compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Obtain missing documents.</li><li>
Execute test plans in preparation for system updates, identifying potential issues. Conduct other testing as needed for new functionality, system enhancements and issue resolution.</li><li>
Manage the entire employee file process with complete accuracy, from file creation to archival and destruction of physical files. Conduct regular audits to ensure files are complete and accurate.</li><li>
Assist with the Faculty Load and Compensation process.</li><li>
Conduct scheduled and ad hoc audits of employee records to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency. Identify root cause of data issues, recommend solutions and initiate corrections, as appropriate.</li><li>
Manage various records projects throughout the year, such as contract letters, academic year changes, deferred pay enrollments, departmental reorganizations, archival of files, etc. Oversee or participate other employee records related projects as needed.</li><li>
Proactively look for opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and increase efficiency.</li><li>
Work collaboratively with other People and Culture staff to research and problem solve issues, conduct testing, and meet other requests as needed.</li><li>
Respond to inquiries from People and Culture teammates, departments across campus and employees. Answer questions and resolve employment and pay related issues.</li><li>
Maintain procedure manual for all records area functions. Ensure process changes and additions are documented and updated.</li><li>
Maintain confidentiality of employee information.</li><li>
Supervise, train, and direct student employee(s).</li><li>
Perform other related duties as assigned.</li><li>
Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Ensure backup plan for coverage when out of office.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree in business and/or human resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>
Three to five years of related experience.</li><li>
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business or HR-related area.</li><li>
In depth knowledge of all HR records functions, Workday, Banner HR and BDM.</li><li>
Experience working in a higher education.</li><li>
Experience working in Human Resources.</li></ul>

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Maintains all records generated by Police personnel for both public and official Police use; performs directly related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The principal function of an employee in this class is to electronically archive and retrieve records and provide requested information to the public and Police Officers. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of an assigned command officer but some leeway is granted for exercise of independent judgement and initiative. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with other City employees, representatives of other law enforcement jurisdictions, court officials, and the public. The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL WORK:

The Accounting Specialist works closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and support the overall financial health of the organization. Full time position M-F 8-5 
 
Essential Functions:</div>
<ul><li>Gather and organize all accounts payable invoices and packing slips</li>
<li>Restrictively endorse any checks received
</li><li>Pull batch statements and reports from bank accounts
</li><li>Prepare accounts payable checks and Comdata
</li><li>Prepare deposits and take to banks</li>
<li>Track IME payments received and issuance to physicians</li>
<li>Communicate with billing company regarding payment reconciliation</li>
<li>Record accounts payable entries</li>
<li>Prepare invoices as needed
</li><li>Obtain, organize and reconcile credit card receipt\Assist with month-end, including posting journal entries and preparing monthly reports</li>
<li>Assist with year-end 1099 compilation</li>
<li>Work with our GPO and track cost trends for supply and vendor purchases to ensure pricing doesn&rsquo;t exceed our contracted expenses</li>
<li>Open and sort administrative mail</li>
<li>Order catered meals as needed</li>
<li>Organize and maintain contracts and agreements
</li><li>Notarize documents as needed</li>
<li>Prepare and track all entity business filings</li>

Job Qualifications:</div>
<ul><li>Associates degree in accounting or business-related field preferred; willing to consider at least two years&rsquo; experience with accounts payable in lieu of degree</li>
<li>Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multi-task</li>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products required; advanced Excel experience required</li>
<li>Notary or ability to obtain notary</li>

Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>
As a Certified Cancer Registrar, work from home, you will be responsible for case finding and abstraction of cancer data for HCA hospitals.
In this role you will:<ul><li>
Completes case-finding for assigned facilities, including review of pathology reports, the disease index, suspense list in Meditech and merging appropriate cases into Metriq</li><li>
Responsible for reviewing medical records to abstract information according to the standards of the American College of Surgeons (ACOS) and the appropriate State Central Cancer Registry</li><li>
Performs timely abstraction of assigned cases to ensure compliance with ACOS standards, i.e. within six months of patient contact
</li><li>Completes edit checks and makes appropriate changes on a timely basis
</li><li>Follow ACOS and state data standards and coding instructions to abstract all reportable cases</li><li>
Attend state and national educational activities as approved by Director</li><li>
Submit data to the National Cancer Data Base (NCDB) in accordance with the annual Call for Data</li><li>
Submit data monthly to the appropriate State Central Cancer Registry</li><li>
Resolve errors resulting in the rejection of records from the NCDB and the state data systems</li></ul>
What you will need:<ul><li>
Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification required</li><li>
1-3 years of Cancer Data Abstraction experience required</li><li>
3-5 years of Cancer Data Abstraction or Medical Records experience preferred</li></ul>
