<ul><li>Conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment including air conditioners, compressors, evaporators, and freon units to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards.</li>
<li>Perform repairs and overhauls on ammonia refrigeration systems, including replacing motors, pumps, switches, safety controls, solenoids, and fuses across plant refrigeration areas.</li>
<li>Maintain and monitor boilers, evaporators, and condensers, ensuring proper water treatment, airflow, and functioning of fans and glycol pumps.</li>
<li>Assist with equipment setup/teardown, fabrication, and installation of new plant machinery, supporting major repairs and construction projects as needed.</li>
<li>Adhere strictly to facility safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, and participate in Hazmat training and team activities.</li>
</ul><div><b>What You Will Bring:</b></div>
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of 0 to 1 year of related experience, ideally in an ammonia refrigeration environment.
</li><li>Knowledge of general refrigeration maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or plumbing, along with refrigeration maintenance boilers and ammonia compressors, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
</li><li>Qualify for HAZMAT certification and be able to obtain a boiler license.</li>

   Specialized Refrigeration: Maintain industrial and commercial units like walk-in freezers, ice cream machines, pony chillers, and reach-in coolers.

   Mechanical Repairs: Perform expert-level repair and replacement of compressors, motors, pumps, bearings, seals, and gaskets.
  </li>

Learning, developing skills and assisting more highly skilled mechanics with the following tasks.<ul><li>
Excavate ditches, grade and install pipe and backfill as required for installation of underground piping systems.</li><li>
Assemble pipe, fittings, valves, etc. using appropriate fittings including but not limited to copper sweat, braze, press, PEX, cast iron, PVC glue, thread, flare, compression, mechanical joint, weld, groove, fuse-seal, polypropylene weld, and other specialty types as required.</li><li>
Fill piping systems with proper medium such as water, compressed air, nitrogen, argon, etc. for testing purposes.</li><li>
Detect and locate piping system leaks by observing pressure gauges and/or applying soap and water solutions to joints as needed and repair defective portions of system.</li><li>
Modify, clean and maintain piping systems, support and related equipment as required by project contract documents.</li><li>
Install, repair or replace fixtures such as showers, sinks, toilets, etc.</li><li>
Assemble and mount, hang or otherwise install tanks, pumps, water heaters, boilers, air handling units, HVAC units, terminal units, chillers and other equipment and fixtures, and make final connections utilizing proper tools.</li><li>
Operate equipment such as forklift, skid steer, boom lift, etc.</li><li>
Develop basic understanding of the refrigerant cycle and refrigerant equipment and piping systems, and ability to install, test, evacuate and commission commercial and industrial Freon based refrigerant systems for HVAC applications (for refrigerant focused positions)</li><li>
