Summary</p>

The Power Regional Practice Leader (RPL) is a leadership position combining technical expertise with strategic vision and business management to drive

the next level of growth and success of multiple practices within the KCI regional practice.</div><div><b>
This position will cover South Carolina and Western NC. Duke Energy and Dominion Energy are the major clients.<br>

Key Responsibilities:</div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the assigned region.</li><li>
Be highly engaged in the client relationships to grow trust and develop business through Account Development activities.</li><li>
Be available to assist with Business Development opportunities as requested (conventions, trade shows etc).</li><li>
Work closely with leadership and legal counsel for new client contract review.</li><li>
Engage in regional client leadership relationship building efforts.</li><li>
Own and understand the P&amp;L statement for assigned region and work to achieve the desired results.</li><li>
Work closely with front line leadership; Practice Leaders and Project Managers, to ensure their region is meeting client targets for Quality, Quantity, Cost and Commitment, and quickly address deficiencies as they are identified.</li><li>
Develop and execute an approved staffing plan to meet the business needs of our client while supporting the internal business plan.</li><li>
Support other power sector RPL&rsquo;s in times of work expansion or contraction (utilize available capacity).</li><li>
Work closely with QTTI leadership to create a seamless continuity between the two work groups.</li><li>
Address QTTI KPI&rsquo;s that need attention and appropriately celebrate achievements of KPI&rsquo;s met.</li><li>
Support the personal development of employees while maintaining budget allocations.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Preferred Qualifications</b></div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
15 years of experience in electrical distribution design industry.</li><li>
ABET Accredited Engineering Degree Preferred</li><li>
Professional Engineering License Preferred</li><li>
Experience leading a team of designers to deliver various types of overhead and underground electric distribution projects utilizing utility design and construction standards.</li><li>
Experience in leading those who manage front line employees.</li><li>
Project management experience required, with experience in managing and growing a design team.</li><li>
Experience in developing and managing project managers in electric distribution.</li><li>
Experience meeting client expectations and developing business.</li><li>
Experience with working in the Investor Owned Utility (IOU) business model and regulatory environment.</li><li>
Proposal engagement including identifying expertise, scope, schedule and fee as directed by leadership.</li><li>
Manage contingent worker invoicing and billing questions when needed.</li><li>
Manage regional relationships with contracted staffing agencies.</li><li>
Strong design knowledge in electrical distribution required. Degreed, Professional desired.</li><li>
Prepare written technical proposals, assemble teams to meet client criteria, and develop professional relationships.</li><li>
This position requires a leader with demonstrated experience and a broad knowledge of the electric distribution industry and the processes required to develop design packages utilizing client specific design standards.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience in training and developing staff for current and future roles.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience in creating and supporting a safe work culture.</li><li>
Experience in storm restoration and specifically damage assessment</li><li>
Demonstrated experience in positively supporting change. Examples, new organization, work management and design systems replacement or upgrades.</li></ul><div><b><br>
Leadership and Strategic Planning:</b><br>
<ul><li>Lead all similar technical practices within the designated regional market and/or geography.</li><li>Provide support to Practice Leaders to ensure project success and client satisfaction.</li><li>Collaborate closely with other regional practices to utilize shared expertise and implement best practices.</li><li>Contribute to the development and execution of growth strategies and business plans.</li><li>Engage in collaborative efforts with other Regional Practice Leaders within the organization to drive collective success.</li><li>Provide and foster a culture of performance excellence and collaboration.</li></ul></div><div><b><br>
Business Development and Client Relationship Management:</b><br>
<ul><li>Take ownership of business development efforts, focusing on expanding the regional practice beyond existing clients.</li><li>Foster and nurture client relationships, identify opportunities for expansion, and introduce new services or geographic markets within

<ul><li>Provide project and client leads to other regional practice leaders to grow their regional practices.</li><li>Represent KCI in technical societies and community organizations.</li><li>Stay informed and track market trends for annual business planning and long-term strategic planning purposes.</li></ul></div><div><b><br>
Recruitment, Retention, and Professional Development:</b><br>
<ul><li>Support recruiting and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent within the regional practice.</li><li>Prepare and deliver timely annual employee performance appraisals for assigned staff.</li><li>Comply with all KCI policies and procedures.</li><li>Provide input and recommendations for technical training as well as management and leadership development of staff.</li></ul></div><div><b><br>
Financial Management and Reporting:</b><br>
<ul><li>Work with the Sector President, Region Executive, Service Line Leader and the CFO to develop the annual budget.</li><li>Meet annual Performance Agreements targets.</li><li>Deliver projects on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope and quality commitments.</li><li>Negotiate scope, schedule, and fee estimates for large and significant projects.</li><li>Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters.</li></ul></div><div><b><br>
Project Management and Execution:</b><br>
<ul><li>Monitor effective use of equipment and personnel.</li><li>Provide technical project and staff oversight.</li><li>Serve as project manager on large or significant projects.</li><li>Develop project-specific safety plans. Ensure compliance with all Federal, state, and local safety rules and regulations.</li><li>Meet regularly with clients to review project progress.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li><br>
