<p><b>POSITION OVERVIEW</b></p><p>The U.S. District Court Clerk&rsquo;s Office for the District of Minnesota is seeking a Court Reporter to office in Minneapolis, Minnesota with travel to Minneapolis, Duluth, Fergus Falls, and Bemidji as required.</p><p>The primary focus of the Court Reporter is to provide court reporting services to the Court. This position serves the Court en banc and can be called upon to cover court reporting of proceedings held before the Court, and for the transcription of those proceedings upon request.</p><p><b>REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES</b></p><p>&middot; Attend and record verbatim proceedings held before United States District and Magistrate Judges and transcribe those proceedings upon request. ABOUT THE POSITION</b></div><div>
Under general supervision, the Official Assignment Court Reporter, working on an intermittent basis, reports and transcribes verbatim stenographic record of official court proceedings. A stenographic record is defined as using the voice method or the machine method. The Official Assignment Court Reporter prepares and certifies transcripts, and, at the direction of the Court, reads the report aloud in court, in accordance with applicable code sections; and performs related tasks within the area of assignment.</div><div></div><div><br>
The Official Assignment Court Reporter is distinguished from an Official Court Reporter in that the classification provides additional courtroom support from time to time on an as-needed basis. Incumbents will be expected to gradually perform a broader range of duties with increasing responsibility and independence as experience is gained. An Official Assignment Court Reporter is expected to qualify for advancement to Official Court Reporter by the end of a fifty-two (52) week probationary period. There is no permanent status in the Official Assignment Court Reporter classification. Upon advancement to Official Court Reporter, incumbents are placed on a six (6) month promotional probation period.</div><div></div><div><i><br>
Duties for the classification may include, but are not limited to:</i></div><div></div><div><br>
1. The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts seeks a qualified Court Reporter - Resident to record and transcribe verbatim, court trials, hearings, and conferences in Superior Court. Work originates from the need to make a true, complete, and accurate record of civil and criminal proceedings as required by law, to provide transcripts, as requested, and to certify to the record's accuracy.

Court Reporter - Real Time

<div><p><b>Judge Michelle L. Clark, who is chambered in the Douglas County Courthouse, Alexandria, Minnesota, seeks qualified candidates for a Court Reporter position, preferably Stenographic. </b>The ability to travel is a requirement for this position as the court reporter will occasionally work in other counties within the Seventh Judicial District.
</p><p>This position is responsible for the verbatim recording and transcription of testimony from judicial proceedings, hearings, and conferences, in compliance with all applicable statutes and court rules or as directed by the appointing authority. Additionally, the court reporter serves as the judicial officer's confidential assistant.
</p><p>Alexandria is a beautiful, vibrant community of approximately 15,000 located midway between Fargo and the Twin Cities along Interstate 94.
