How you'll contribute
Supports the rehabilitation team by carrying out patient care activities as directed by an OTR/RPT, including safe patient transport, treatment preparation, and observation of patient response. Works under the direction and supervision of licensed therapists within established policies and procedures. Maintains cleanliness and readiness of therapy areas, equipment, and supplies. Adheres to safety, infection prevention, and patient privacy standards.
Essential Functions<ul><li>
Follow patient care tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals.</li><li>
Safely transport patients to and from therapy and other activities.</li><li>
Communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with members of the rehabilitation team.</li><li>
Observe and recognize patient reactions to treatment; follow instructions accurately.</li><li>
Lift and carry equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis; use proper body mechanics.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

What we're looking for
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 6&ndash;12 months of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting strongly recommended; willing to participate in on-the-job training after orientation.
Certifications: CPR certification (as required).

Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, the Rehabilitation Technician will be responsible for:
Patient care, support, and guidance
Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers.
Proper set up and adjustment of exercise equipment.
Assist with set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs, etc.)
Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises.
Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.
Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider.
Clinic flow
Monitor patient arrivals to department.
Start patients on time for scheduled appointments/keep patients apprised of any clinician delays.
Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment.
Order all supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager.
Front end tasks
Perform necessary front-end tasks including but not limited to check-in, co-pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments.
Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits.
Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed).
Qualifications:
CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care)
High School Diploma
Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations.
Understand principles, as well as contraindications/precautions in the use of therapy modalities.
Can identify proper patient set-up on each piece of equipment with the ability to adjust.
Identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning.
Team-oriented.
Attention to detail and follow-through.
Problem solving, lateral thinking and reasoning skills.
Communication skills.
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15.10-18.00 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.</div>
