What we&rsquo;re looking for
The Rehabilitation Technician Supports the rehabilitation team by carrying out patient care activities as directed by an OTR/RPT, including safe patient transport, treatment preparation, and observation of patient response. Communicates effectively with therapists and team members, follows written and verbal instructions, and maintains a safe, organized environment to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 6&ndash;12 months of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting strongly recommended; willing to participate in on-the-job training after orientation.
Certifications: CPR certification (as required).
Skills/Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication; ability to follow directions; patient transport and safe lifting techniques (up to 50 lbs.); observation and basic documentation; reliability, teamwork, and time management.

What you will do:<ul><li>
Under close supervision, cleans and disinfects assigned areas according to prescribed procedures. Assists in preparing equipment for patients' use, maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and equipment, and replenishes supplies as needed. Transports patients to and from department as needed and performs general clerical duties such as answering phones, taking and relaying messages, and the like. Assists in wound care and dressing applications and changes in hydrotherapy.</li></ul>
What you will need:<ul><li>
Education: Requires a high‑school level of communication and/or math skills but no technical training prior to hire and less than three months of previous experience plus approximately one to three months of on‑the‑job experience.</li><li>
Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross required</li><li>
Experience: Some analytical ability is required but in situations where the problems are not difficult or complex. Analysis requirements generally limited to collecting available factual information and responding to it based on clear precedent or procedures.</li><li>
Unique or Preferred Skills: Work requires the ability to walk or stand for an hour of more at a time, lift or carry objects weighing more than 20 pounds, push or pull laundry or supply carts, gurneys or wheelchairs, and lift and position patients. Work requires the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. This includes knowledge of the physical and psychological needs of patients served and the ability to respond appropriately to those needs.</li></ul>

Rehab Tech III is responsible for residential shift leadership and performs, coaches and has oversight of Rehab. Tech I and IIs performance of prescribed/therapist directed clinical intervention techniques to patients in the rehabilitation setting to facilitate patient practice and increase safe and independent functioning in individual goal areas, including mobility, activities of daily living, communication, cognition, health management, psychosocial, leisure and community integration. Serve as a mentor to Rehab. Tech. I and II staff through the development of effective therapeutic working relationships with patients and their support network.
Monitor and provide assistance with personal care, protection and supervision, as needed to residents that is consistent with the mission, vision and values of Hope Network.

Job Requirements

<li>Certification as a CNA or a bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited university or institution of higher learning (preferred) or High School Diploma or G.E.D with two years of experience, or one year as an HNNR Rehab. Tech. and have completed all HNNR Core and Advanced Medical Rehab Tech Skills requirements.</li>
<li>One year experience as a Hope Network Rehabilitation Technician or two years of experience in a human service agency.</li>
<li>Work experience in a licensed residential setting preferred.</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li>
<li>Ability to lift 50 pounds.</li>
<li>Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid.</li>
<li>Commitment to scheduled shifts, assigned duties, and performance expectations.</li>
