Elwyn seeks a Residential Shift Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision, and training of all assigned staff within the residential unit.</div><div></div><div> 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</div><ul><li>
Ensure the provision of treatment services to each resident according to the treatment plan</li><li>
Provide clinical support in assisting clients in ensuring community integration occurs, as scheduled, according to the treatment plan</li><li>
Ensure staff working their assigned shift complete required training, in cooperation with the Clinical Coordinator, based on unit-specific operational and clinical issues, including but not limited to safety rounds and documentation of resident progress</li><li>
Ensure all required documentation for resident record, including but not limited to progress notes, intake notes, and group notes are completed for their assigned shift and that safety codes are followed and enforced to ensure quality of care</li><li>
Cooperate within an interdisciplinary team approach by implementing the treatment plan (e.g., group sessions, community outings) to ensure quality programming</li><li>
Develop and nurture relationships with resident families, outside social services agencies, and funding sources by direct communication to ensure adequate resident support</li><li>
Participate in on-call rotation, as needed, to ensure quality of care for residents</li><li>
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and safe crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols</li><li>
Report any violations or allegations of resident abuse and neglect immediately, following Elwyn's policy and state regulations</li><li>
Provide supervision of assigned staff in the areas including but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, timekeeping, performance management, promotion, discipline, and termination</li><li>
Provide a supportive environment for all team members and clients by:<ul><li>

Daily monitoring of safety rounds completion</li><li>

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:</div><ul><li>

POSITION SUMMARY:

About the Program:

Residential (RES): also known as the Diermeier Therapeutic Youth Home in North Lawndale. The facility can serve 70 youth, most of whom come through DCFS, group homes, foster care and psychiatric hospitals. The around-the-clock facility is staffed by more than 150 employees who provide services to decrease problematic behaviors. The program provides life skills, tutoring, therapy, educational opportunities, programmatic activities, sporting and recreational events, camping, part-time employment opportunities, and arts and crafts, among other offerings. The goal at discharge is to have successfully engaged youth so they can transition to foster care or transitional living services. The accredited program is considered high end because of services and supports provided to youth with the most difficult behaviors. 


Position Objective and Summary:

Assists the Program Director with the overall programming and functioning of assigned residential unit(s) and provides direct supervision of the Residential Treatment Specialists in those unit(s). 


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Monitoring Service Delivery

Monitors completion and appropriate content of written documentation on a regular basis to ensure appropriateness, accuracy and timeliness.</li><li>
Assists in the planning and implementation of therapeutic activities for each resident.</li><li>

Makes recommendations related to the overall treatment and discharge planning for each program resident.</li><li>

Identifying and Addressing Client Needs

Guides RTS&rsquo;s to base interventions on clinically appropriate, best practice, and ethical considerations.</li><li>
Role models acceptable behavioral interventions and techniques with residents for the benefit of both the residents and staff development.</li><li>
Supervises program Residential Treatment Specialist in order to achieve maximum utilization of personnel.</li><li>
Ensures ongoing development and implementation of clinical and therapeutic programming for the residents.</li><li>
Cooperatively works with other Residential dorms and departments to create and maintain the therapeutic milieu</li><li>
Guides RTS staff during crises to minimize trauma for the client and to support the staff members</li><li>

SAFE Alliance:
The SAFE Alliance exists to stop abuse for everyone by serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence. We are dedicated to ending violence through prevention, advocacy, and comprehensive services for individuals, families, and communities that have been affected by abuse.
In the past two years (23-24), our community outreach and education has provided over 12,000 adults and youth violence prevention training. The number of forensic exams provided at Eloise House numbered over 300. Our various housing and shelter programs provided over 700 survivors per day with safe housing and shelter. Position Details:

We are looking for several people to work on a PRN, non-exempt basis for an hourly salary of $21.20 dependent upon experience. The work location will be based at Grove Blvd. Campus in the East Austin area. This position will include no travel in the community or between campuses with no ability for remote/hybrid work. The shift currently available is PRN. PRN staff are required to be available for work for at least four (4) shifts every month, each shift must be eight (8) hours, with a max of sixteen (16) hours per week. PRN work shifts available are as follows:
<ul><li>First Shift: 8am to 4pm</li><li>
Second Shift: 4pm to 12am (midnight)</li><li>
Third Shift: 12am (midnight) to 8am</li></ul>

</li></ul>Required Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.</li><li>
Equivalent years of professional-level relevant experience is acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.</li><li>
One to two years crisis intervention experience is highly preferred.</li><li>
Knowledge of issues and systems related to domestic violence, sexual abuse, human trafficking, child abuse and homelessness preferred.</li><li>
Experience providing direct service advocacy or case management services.</li><li>
Ability to work in a high stress, fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. 
</li><li>
With reasonable accommodation, this position requires the manual dexterity to sufficiently operate phones, computers, and other office equipment.</li><li>
Visual acuity capable of drafting, editing, reviewing, and/or comprehending materials in a standard typeface size 10 font or above, are required.</li><li>
Be capable of sitting and standing for extended periods of time, as well as be able to intermittently push, pull, or lift 20+lbs. of force.</li><li>
Occasional exposure to adverse working conditions, including the performance of work in cramped and/or awkward positions, and exposure to safety hazards, loud noise, traffic, and inclement weather conditions is possible.</li><li>
This position requires completion of the 40-Hour Office of Attorney General Sexual Assault Advocacy Training Program in person within six (6) months of starting employment, along with participating in annual continuing education throughout your employment.</li><li>
Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check if applicable), as well as a pre-employment drug screen and TB test, if applicable.

 Duties:

 Obtains vital signs, records, and notifies the supervising nurse of deviations per Individual Service Plan (ISP).

 May aid with the following:

 Housekeeping and Safety Compliance Duties include cleaning assigned areas, following cleaning schedule, learning and demonstrating proper cleaning solutions, identifying solutions, displaying knowledge of solution apparatus, familiarizing self with Universal Work Precautions.

 Housekeeping duties may include, but are not limited to, laundering linens and personal clothing, cleaning bathrooms, taking out the trash, spot cleaning carpets, and changing light bulbs.
