</div><div>The Residential Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a state-run residential care facility, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of residents. This role provides leadership to direct care staff, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and fosters a supportive and structured living environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while demonstrating compassion and a commitment to person-centered care.</div></div><div><div><div>
Primary Responsibilities</div>
</div><div>The assignment of supervisory duties is determined by the hiring agency's operational needs. Non-supervisory roles will serve as senior technical experts. Lead, mentor, and supervise direct care staff to ensure the highest standard of resident care. Oversee staff schedules, assignments, and performance evaluations to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency. Address personnel concerns, facilitate conflict resolution, and support staff in handling challenging situations. Ensure residents receive individualized care plans tailored to their medical, social, and emotional needs. Monitor residents&rsquo; behavior, health, and well-being, coordinating with healthcare professionals and case managers as needed. Address resident grievances, provide guidance, and advocate for their rights and needs. Maintain compliance with Arkansas state laws, Medicaid requirements, and agency policies regarding residential care services. Conduct facility inspections and audits to uphold safety, cleanliness, and operational standards. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of incidents, resident progress, and staff activities. Provide leadership during emergency situations, behavioral crises, or medical incidents. Train staff on de-escalation techniques, crisis response, and intervention strategies. Mediate conflicts between residents, staff, and families to maintain a positive and cooperative environment.</div></div><div><div><div>
Knowledge and Skills</div>

Minimum Qualifications</div>

This full-time role in an adult residential setting involves supervising and supporting residents' daily activities while fostering their physical, emotional, social, and vocational development. The Residential Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that residents are engaged in meaningful activities that promote greater independence, community integration, and personal growth. Compassion, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><ul><li><ul><li>Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs), behavior plans, and assessments to align with individual needs and program goals.</li><li>Create, lead and supervise Direct Support Professionals during shifts, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to daily scheduled plans.</li><li>Ensure all ISP programs and behavior data sheets are documented</li><li>Ensure medications are delivered and documented</li><li>Ensure recreation and DRO&rsquo;s/DRL&rsquo;s are run as directed</li><li>Ensure the cleaning schedule has been completed thoroughly by those assigned</li><li>Foster community involvement, employment opportunities, and recreational activities that support resident engagement and personal development.</li><li>Coordinate with families, guardians, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support as directed by Residential House Manager.</li><li>Assist with financial management, including resident accounts and house budgets, as directed by the Residential House Manager.</li><li>Attend annual and semi-annual reviews as assigned by Residential House Manager.</li><li>Ensure the program maintains the standard outlined in the Department of Developmental Services Mission Statement, the Survey and Certification Tool</li><li>Perform safety checks, assist with fire drills, and ensure compliance with DDS regulations and safety standards.</li><li>Oversee and support residents in meal preparation, shopping, and other daily living activities.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and records related to residents' progress, health, and program involvement. Ensuring all staff complete daily reports and tasks as assigned</li><li>Assist with household maintenance needs and vehicle upkeep to ensure a safe and functional living environment.</li><li>Take a leadership role in planning individual leisure activities and ensuring residents have access to opportunities for recreation and personal development.</li><li>Serve as the primary contact during shifts, communicating day-to-day updates to administrative personnel in the absence of the Residential House Manager.</li><li>Maintain First Aid, CPR, MAP &amp; PABC certifications.</li><li>Maintain training specific to individual programmatic issues.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul></li></ul><p><b>
Physical and Scheduling Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Ability to assist residents with personal care, including lifting and transferring individuals.</li><li>Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, overnight coverage, and occasional overtime as needed.</li><li>Must be able to handle physically demanding situations, such as assisting in emergencies or behavioral crises.</li></ul>
