The Assistant Residential House Manager reports to the Residential House Manager. The assistant is responsible for the general daily care of program individual/service recipients and for primary program service delivery. Essential skills include empathy, compassion, teamwork, striving for excellence, willingness to learn, and a desire for a challenging growth opportunity. The Assistant Residential House Manager will assume the responsibility of the Residential House Manager in their absence. This position will be compensated on an hourly basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Development and implementation of ISP's, behavior plans and assessments to insure individual input, relevance to program goals, feasibility and capabilities of individuals. To include participation in creating, developing and implementing behavior plans.</li><li>
Serve as programmatic supervisor to Direct Support Professionals.</li><li>
Consistently communicate information to Direct Support Professionals, parents, guardians and day programs as designated by Residential House Manager.</li><li>
Oversee handling of individual accounts, and the house budget as directed by the Residential House Manager.</li><li>
Ensure monthly fire drills are completed in accordance with DDS regulations.</li><li>
Identify renovation/repair needs of the program.</li><li>
Identify and follow through on maintenance needs of vehicle.</li><li>
Attend meetings with management personnel from other agencies and the Department of Developmental Services as requested by Residential House Manager.</li><li>
Attend annual and semi-annual reviews as assigned by Residential House Manager.</li><li>
Prepare weekly staff meeting agenda specific to individual centered issues and programmatic issues.</li><li>
Coordinate and assist with planning of individual leisure/recreation time.</li><li>
In the absence of the Residential House Manager perform all functions of that position.</li><li>
In the absence of the Residential House Manager communicate with Administrative personnel on the day-to-day operation of the program.</li><li>
Insure the program maintains the standard outlined in the Department of Developmental Services Mission Statement, the Survey and Certification Tool, as well as requirements of Performance Based Objectives.</li><li>
Maintain records and document daily data.</li><li>
Educate, supervise and monitor individual self-medication programs.</li><li>
Educate and train individuals in goals and objectives specified in ISP.</li><li>
Educate and assist individuals with meal preparation and food shopping.</li><li>
Educate and assist individuals with finances, banking, receipts, purchasing and maintain records.</li><li>
Educate, transport, accompany and provide supervision to individuals in/to their place of worship.</li><li>
Physically assist individuals in transfer and carries, both ambulatory and non-ambulatory.</li><li>
Physically escort/restrain individual during emergency situations or behavioral episodes, physically assist individuals in bathing and personal hygiene tasks which may include lifts and supports to individuals with body weights of 150-250 pounds.</li><li>
Implement Agency policies and procedures as defined in the Agency Policy and Procedure Manual.</li><li>
Maintain confidentiality and positive demeanor while successfully juggling multiple priorities simultaneously.</li><li>
Promote cost effectiveness by monitoring electric and telephone usage, etc.</li><li>

Assistant Residential House Manager will be assigned specific responsibilities which may include but are not limited to:
Advocate: All full time staff will have advocate responsibilities for one of the people living in the home.<ul><li>
Responsible for preparation of Advocate Agenda for staff meetings and lead discussion concerning the person.</li><li>
Prepare all data and documentation for End of Month submission</li><li>
Ensure all records are complete, neat and in proper order</li><li>
Assure all medical, dental, personal, and social needs are met.</li><li>
Perform safety check of home, van and grounds utilizing safety checklist and report at staff meeting.</li><li>
Attend Safety Committee meetings quarterly.</li><li>

Prepare weekly menus in compliance with dietary orders/needs of the individuals.</li><li>

Under the direction of the Assistant Executive Director, the Residential Services Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and functionality of the Residential Services Program as well as the Residential Services facility, staff, and program participants. This position oversees and directs the daily operations of the Residential Services facility, including the supervision of personnel and program participants and establishing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain safety, security, and program integrity. The Residential Services Coordinator ensures compliance with all applicable agency policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local laws and rules. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
<ul>
<li>Serves as a member of the Allen County Community Corrections’ (ACCC) Executive Management Team representing all functions of the ACCC Residential Services facility and programs.</li>
<li>Oversees and guides residential intake, ensuring compliance with established agency policies and procedures, Court Orders, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws. Manages the safety and security of the Residential Services facility and evaluates security operations on a continual basis.</li>
<li>Identifies, challenges, and quickly and efficiently facilitates the flow of information and communicates to ACCC Executive Management Team and/or problem solves and troubleshoots as concerns arise.</li>
<li>Ensures program participants are assigned and supervised within the Residential Services facility, by assessed risk level.</li>
<li>May periodically secure and/or physically restrain violent/uncontrollable participants as situations demand</li>

DIFFICULTY OF WORK: 
The Residential Services Coordinator has a moderate comprehension of and ability to make practical application of theories and principles when overseeing and directing the daily operations of the Residential Services program, facility, and program participants. Work consists of complex, varied, non-standardized tasks when establishing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain safety, security, and program integrity.
 
RESPONSIBILITY: 
The Residential Services Coordinator makes choices and decisions and acts on varied non-standardized non-routine assignments when assisting with updating all eligibility and program guidelines of Allen County Community Corrections (ACCC) and implementing them within the Residential Services Division. Work
 requires analysis, adaptative thinking and considerable judgment and errors in decisions or work are not immediately apparent through supervisory review but are revealed through adverse effects on subsequent operations.
 
PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS: 
The Residential Services Coordinator maintains frequent communication with other County employees, program participants, high level officials from various governmental and social service agencies and members of the public regarding the coordination and supervision of serious and violent felony program participants.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS: 
The Residential Services Coordinator works predominantly in an office setting as well as a residential community corrections facility, with some walking, bending, kneeling, and monitoring equipment. Frequent mental/visual effort, attention to detail, detailed inspection and typing are to be expected. The Residential Services Coordinator maintains frequent contact with program participants who have been convicted of various misdemeanor and/or felony offenses and may be dangerous, violent and/or abusive.
 
SUPERVISION: 
The Residential Services Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of eight (8) supervisory staff and a minimum of thirty-six (36) non-supervisory employees, including training, reviewing employee work and performance, counseling employees, and recommending disciplinary and hiring decisions.

 The Residential Manager is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of quality services and support to People We Serve (PWS) served in residential settings. The Residential Manager ensures quality service delivery and outcomes in compliance with State and Federal Rules and Regulations, as well as AbleLight Skills and Support policies and procedures. The Residential Manager monitors the residential services for a caseload of comprehensive intellectually disabled adults.
 
Requirements:

Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Conducts home visits regularly per client needs in their residential setting to ensure respectful and safe environments.</li>
<li>Identifies, provides, and documents technical assistance given to providers.</li>
<li>Completes monitoring reports and addresses any concerns noted.</li>
<li>Coordinates medical services and ensures documentation, scheduling, and monitoring for all aspects of medical reports, both routine and emergent.</li>
<li>Monitors compliance of funding mechanism connected with these medical supports.</li>
<li>Ensures 24/7 on-call availability for phone calls, or as needed face-to-face support, to maintain the health and safety of the clients. Able to respond to emergencies as needed.</li>
<li>Attends all Service Plan and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings and presents updates regarding events in the client’s life. Consults with other members of the Life Skills and Support team and is prepared to present that information in these meetings or when information is requested.</li>
<li>Develops, maintains, and monitors individual service support and behavior plans (ISSPs) based on ongoing assessments (e.g., Health and Safety Assessments and Daily Living Skills Assessment).</li>

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

In collaboration with the Program Manager, the Residential Program Specialist III (Lead Staff) is responsible for the operational and on-call support of 24-hour residential homes. The RPS III is scheduled for 30-32 hours direct care per week, 8-10 hours per week in the office, and 36 hours on-call. In addition to providing essential support to the people we support and the operation, the RPS III position is designed to be a mentorship for employees interested in promotion. Premium Pay hours on the weekends paid at 
 
up to $30/hr! 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience
<ul><li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);</li></ul>
<ul><li>At least 3 months of direct support or supervisory experience</li></ul>

<ul><li>Prepare consult visit forms on Therap; schedule routine medical, dental, eye, mental health, and specialist visits.</li></ul> 
Quality Assurance:
<ul><li>Evaluate all appointment/consultation reports. Update or facilitate update to include all necessary documentation and follow up.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Send a monthly total of away-from-home days to the Director of Residential Programs.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Post staff meeting minutes after the conclusion of each meeting.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Conduct monthly safety walk through reviews; submit online. Follow up with maintenance requests when indicated. Report urgent concerns directly to management and/or the Director of Residential Programs.</li></ul> 
On-Call:
<ul><li>Respond to calls within 15 minutes and remain within 30 minutes of worksite while on-call</li></ul>
<ul><li>Arrange coverage, or cover open shifts during assigned hours; must be available to work for the duration of assigned hours</li></ul>
<ul><li>Submit a list of schedule changes to management at the conclusion of on-call rotation</li></ul>
