About Wellstone Center
Wellstone Center is a 245I licensed Residential Crisis Services program and Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) program providing trauma-informed, person-centered treatment to adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our program delivers structured residential treatment in a therapeutic milieu focused on stabilization, skill-building, relapse prevention, and successful community reintegration.
Position Summary:
The Licensed Therapist provides clinical services within a residential setting to adults with serious and persistent mental illness and potentially co-occurring substance use disorders. This position is responsible for assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 245I and DHS licensing standards.
The Therapist actively participates in milieu engagement and supports residents in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, relapse prevention strategies, and independent living skills.

 Men’s Residential and Detox or 890 Residential Services is a program of HealthRIGHT 360 that serves male-identifying clients. This program has approximately 105 beds and provides residential treatment for substance use disorder (SUD) for up to 90 days. Clients are supported by a team of behavioral health professionals who provide counseling and education for substance abuse disorders, life skills, as well as individual and group therapy.
 The On-Call Therapist works collaboratively with a team consisting of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors and SUD Supervisors to provide valuable insight, direction, and oversight of Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services. They also participate in a collaborative care process for clients, which includes providing individual and group therapy. Additionally, they are responsible for providing safe, supportive, and confidential counseling; maintaining a culturally competent stance; and always creating and maintaining a trauma informed program environment.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Individual Treatment Responsibilities:

<li>Manages an individual therapy caseload.</li>
<li>Performs individual psychotherapy services in a residential setting.</li>

Organizes, supervises, and encourages client participation in social, educational, and recreational activities.</li><li>
Provides, finds, or arranges for job and/or school training.</li><li>
Provides crisis intervention to clients experiencing difficulties.</li><li>
Prepares meals and snacks for and/or with residents</li><li>
Serves as back-up for other staff when needed.</li><li>
May be required to transport clients in a LifeWorks vehicle.</li><li>
May administer first aid only if certified, according to prescribed procedures</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>
This position requires a valid and active QMHA credential certification through MHACBO.</li><li>
A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or a related behavioral sciences field OR a minimum of three years experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively; understand mental health assessment, treatment and service terminology and individual, group, family and other counseling techniques; program policies and procedures for services and supports identified in an Individual Services and Supports Plan.</li><li>
Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to provide culturally-competent treatment services to diverse client populations and maintain a cooperative working relationship with others in a culturally diverse environment.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to provide psychosocial skills training, implement elements of a treatment plan, and provide case management services in compliance with confidentiality requirements.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word. Ability to master proprietary software including electronic health record system required.</li><li>
Requires valid driver's license, proof of current automobile insurance coverage and verification of safe driving record from DMV.</li></ul>

 A Day in the Life
 As a Respiratory Therapist at Home of the Innocents, you’ll provide expert care for children and young adults with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. Under Respiratory Leadership, you'll perform treatments and diagnostic procedures to improve residents' quality of life.
 But your role extends beyond clinical care. You’ll have the unique opportunity to join residents on fun outings, such as ice skating, attending the movie theater, and other recreational activities, building meaningful connections that enrich both their lives and yours.

<li>Deliver Exceptional Care: Administer treatments, manage ventilators, and perform pulmonary procedures to improve resident outcomes.</li>

<li>Collaborate with Excellence: Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and participate in Pulmonary Rounds to ensure optimal resident support.</li>

Respiratory Therapist Skills and Qualifications
 <ul>
<li>Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Kentucky.</li>
<li>National Board of Respiratory Care certification.</li>
<li>Active BLS certification.</li>
<li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li>
