Job Description 
We are seeking skilled and experienced Roads Management Centre (RMC) and Tunnel Control Room Operators to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating Roads and Tunnels systems for one of the operational zones of Qatar, ensuring the safe, efficient and effective management of traffic. Note: this role is shift based to support 24/7/365 operations of the RMC and Tunnels Control Rooms.
Key responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Monitor and manage the RMC and Tunnels systems to detect incidents and congestion and achieve the performance SLAs for network, corridor, junction and incident management</li><li>
Identify performance improvement opportunities for congestion, incident and major event traffic management</li><li>
Coordinating with key stakeholders such as Drainage Management Centre, Ministry of Interior, Baladiya and Hamad Medical Corporation to safely manage incidents and events</li><li>
Following and implementing Standard Operating Procedures, emergency plans and severe weather response plans where applicable</li><li>

The operator will monitor traffic patterns, manage incidents, and apply tactical interventions through Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to ensure safe, smooth, and efficient road operations.This role directly contributes to reducing congestion, improving road safety, and enhancing driver experience across Qatar&rsquo;s road network.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate and manage ITS systems, traffic signals, CCTV, and dynamic message signs.</li><li>Monitor traffic conditions, detect congestion, and implement proactive solutions.</li><li>Manage road incidents, severe weather events, road closures, and diversions.</li><li>Provide real-time traffic information and operational support for major events and abnormal/hazardous loads.</li><li>Liaise with internal teams and external authorities to ensure effective coordination.</li><li>Support tunnel operations, road network optimization, and system development.</li><li>Maintain data security, system integrity, and adherence to Health &amp; Safety and Quality standards.</li><li>Work 24/7 in rotational shifts to ensure continuous network coverage.</li><li>Perform additional duties as required by management.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; ExperienceEssential:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering or related field.</li><li>5&ndash;6 years&rsquo; experience in a roads control room or operating ITS systems.</li><li>Knowledge of incident management and safety-critical systems.</li><li>Experienced in shift work and multi-software platforms.</li><li>Strong English communication skills (verbal &amp; written).</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>Accreditation from Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or similar.</li><li>Valid Qatar Driving License.</li><li>Arabic communication skills.</li></ul>Technical Knowledge &amp; Skills<ul><li>Experience with transportation-specific Video Management Systems (VMS).</li><li>Familiarity with Tunnel Management Systems or Road Incident Management Systems.</li><li>Strong analytical, leadership, teamwork, and presentation skills.</li><li>Self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused with minimal supervision.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):<ul><li>How many years of experience do you have working in a roads control room or operating ITS systems?</li><li>Do you have experience in incident management and traffic control operations?</li><li>Do you currently hold a valid Qatar Driving License?</li><li>Do you have accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or similar?</li><li>What is your current and expected salary?</li><li>When can you join if selected?</li></ul>
