 We are seeking an experienced
 
 Road Engineer
 
 to support and deliver road construction and maintenance works, including
 
 AACM (Annual Asset Condition Maintenance)
 
 and
 
 maintenance of bridges and structures
 
 . The role involves site supervision, technical coordination, quality control, and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and municipal standards for infrastructure projects of similar nature and magnitude.
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:

 Supervise and manage road construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance works in accordance with approved designs and specifications.

 Support AACM programs and maintenance activities for roads, bridges, and structures.

 Monitor site activities including earthworks, pavement layers, asphalt works, drainage, and associated structures.

 Coordinate with bridge and structural teams to ensure integration of road and structure works.

 Review and implement method statements, work programs, and traffic management plans.

 Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and technical documentation.

 Assist in resolving site technical issues and support corrective actions.

 Qualifications

 Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in
 
 Civil Engineering
 
 from a recognized university (mandatory).

 Minimum
 
 10 years of relevant experience
 
 in
 
 road construction and maintenance projects
 
 of similar nature and magnitude.
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Proven experience in
 
 AACM projects
 
 and
 
 maintenance of bridges and structures
 
 is required.
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Strong knowledge of road works including earthworks, subgrade, sub-base, base course, asphalt paving, and drainage systems.
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Familiarity with maintenance techniques for pavements, bridges, and associated civil infrastructure.
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Knowledge of local and international standards (Abu Dhabi Municipality, DMT, AASHTO, BS, or equivalent).
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Experience in site supervision, quality control, and coordination of infrastructure works.
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Proficiency in engineering and reporting tools (AutoCAD, MS Office; Primavera or MS Project is an advantage).
 
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Strong communication and coordination skills.

 Your responsibilities include:

 Preparation of all design stages of road geometry, signing and marking, ancillary works of major urban and inter-urban road projects, incorporating tunnels, sophisticated grade separation interchanges, and service roads, investigation of alternatives, route selection and preparation of the main items of bill quantities.

 Assigning work to junior engineers, supervising work, acquiring Road Design approvals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordination with local authorities for Road geometry, corridor approvals and NOCs through Common NOC System and respective authorities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for the submission, discussion and follow up with local authorities for approvals and permits in coordination with the local authority Engineer.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work coactively with the design team, collaborate closely with sub-consultants and liaising with clients ensuring their satisfaction.
 </li>

 Responsible for acquiring Road Design approvals, work closely with TIS consultant in obtaining approval from the concerned authorities.

 </ul>
 
 To be successful in this role, you will posses:

 Minimum 10 years&rsquo; experience in similar field with proven track records in road design including at least 5 years&rsquo; current Qatar/Middle East experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil Engineering. Master&rsquo;s degree would be an added advantage.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge with the local authority procedure, standards and regulations in Qatar is essential.
 </li>
 <li>
 Expertise in Civil 3D and BIM Modelling.
 </li>
 <li>
 MMUP Registration is mandatory, or ability to obtain within 6 months of joining.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conversant with the QHDM and other local authority approval procedure related to road design.
 </li>

 Road Safety Audit Certificates would be an added advantage.
