5. Follow the routes to ensure that Waste Pro provides a Distinguishably Different level of service to customers. Respond to dispatch calls or messages submitted via the Trac-Ez system. Talk with the driver(s) to clarify any unique service requirements and to make driver aware of the situation for the next day service. Address all customer issues, complaints and inquiries by speaking with the customer and/or driver. Address overloaded cans, renew contracts or refer service changes to the sales representative if applicable. Interact with city, state and municipalities to ensure customers are serviced in a timely manner.

6. Perform route observations to ensure safety procedures are followed. Ensure corrals are in good condition, cans are sanitized, debris is picked up around can, bins are placed and labeled properly, and gates are closed. Complete route observation reports and discuss observations with driver including safety issues, customer calls, route cleanliness and truck appearance. Identify training needs and review with driver.

7. Monitor driver's daily pre-trip inspection, address findings, and ensure driver conducts proper inspections. Review all truck repair issues and address with shop manager to ensure mechanical issues are fixed.

</p><p><b>Position Summary<br>
</b><br>
</p><p>To assist in the attainment of District goals through the effective and efficient planning of routes and by dispatching
<br>
bus drivers and assistants to perform school routes, program routes and extracurricular trips.
</p><p><b>Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
</b></p><p>1. Organize trips and assign district personnel to provide transportation services to all eligible students.
<br>
2. Design routing, generate route descriptions, produce route maps, and coordinate time system schedules.
<br>
3. Collect and maintain route time, mileage data, student information, counts and attendance forms for
</p><p>operations reports and billing.
<br>
4. Assist in the evaluation process for bus drivers and assistants.
<br>
5. Receive, review, and create student profiles for routing and parent app.
<br>
6. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, parents, school personnel and co-workers.
<br>
7. Work with requests from schools and departments for transportation and assign drivers to trips as needed.
<br>
8. Assist in resolving student and parent problems related to transportation and discipline.
<br>
9. Ensure safe departure and on-boarding of students through careful route design.
<br>
10. Report conditions to supervisor that impact your route.
<br>
11. Continually review and revise routes and bus-stops to improve productivity and routing efficiency.
<br>
12. Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected
</p><p>for this position.<br>
<br>
</p><p><b>Minimum Requirements
</b></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Texas Education Agency or regional accrediting
</li></ul>agency.
<ul><li>1-year experience working in transportation department.
</li><li>1 year of work-related experience, general knowledge of routine office procedures to include customer
</li></ul><p>service, telephone etiquette, efficient and effective filing and record keeping procedures.</p><p><br>
