Position Summary:</b><br>

The Router position is an individual contributor role responsible for creating routes, managing routes, calculating delivery routes, times of deliveries and makes the necessary adjustments for drivers and customers. The Router role reports to the Transportation Manager or Routing Supervisor and normally works a Sunday through Thursday shift. The Router role works with numerous routing and software systems. The Router role requires strong attention to detail and process skills. The Router may interact with drivers, sales, transportation, warehouse and customer service personnel at management discretion. The Router functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duties assigned to best serve the company.<br>

<b>Position Responsibilities:</b><ul><li>
Establish delivery routes which are cost effective and compliant with Federal DOT guidelines while still maintaining an acceptable level of customer service, quality and satisfaction. Utilize Roadnet application to ensure Delivery costs are held to company expected run rates year over year.</li><li>
Establish routing procedures and schedules which allow for the optimum use of personnel and equipment while keeping a strong emphasis on driver safety.</li><li>
Perform Roadnet application routing maintenance daily to ensure all locations have accurate, timely, and up-to-date information: Standard Routes and Customer Delivery Requirements, Geo-Coding, delivery days, time windows, service time types, service time overrides, account types, meal beaks, Route start times, pre/post trips, starting/ending depot, travel modes, color for mapping, assigned driver, equipment and DOT road checks, Plan Maintanence equipment with regards to costing, restrictions and capacities.</li><li>
Perform and provide costing, off-days, maintenance, scorecard, customer and KPI reporting on scheduled intervals.</li><li>
Perform recap of previous days actual routing results; make necessary changes/adjustments to the standard routes, if required.</li><li>
Make maps and print driving instructions for drivers that are not familiar with the route assigned.</li><li>
Produce driver manifest report and distribute nightly.</li><li>
Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p>

Facilitate the efficient and timely delivery of customer orders through the use of Roadnet software packages and associated utilities in the generation of the best possible route solutions. In addition, a router is responsible for creating routes that adhere to hours of service and weight laws and regulations.</p><p></p><p><b>
RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><ul><li>
Routing of all legitimate customer orders in the most efficient way possible for multiple shipping facilities while under constant time and accuracy constraints while adhering to established procedures, protocols, and customer commitments</li><li>
Plans routes. This includes integrating new customers into existing routes, determining where new routes and shuttle yards are needed and planning for necessary route adjustments due to seasonality</li><li>

The P</b><b>osition</b>: Under the supervision of the Dispatch Supervisor, the Scheduler / Router has the primary duty of creating optimal routes for the pickup and drop off of participants for any CEI approved transportation trip. This position works closely with the dispatch team, the transportation coordinator team and the dispatch supervisor to ensure any changes are made accurately and timely to reduce errors.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

Plans the schedule of routes for each driver for timely pickup and drop off of participants. Determines the most appropriate utilization of bus space in relation to the number of participants, and the amount of durable medical equipment.
</li><li>Prepare specific request notes identifying any special requests or special needs desired or required by participants and ensure they are in the transportation management system.</li><li>
Maximize driver and vehicle efficiency by Identifying and assigning unscheduled return trips to the appropriate driver located in the nearest area.
</li><li>Use any notes from previous day to update current and future dated pickups and drop offs.</li><li>
Maintains the most current route &ldquo;templates&rdquo; (plans) on file to use for upcoming service days.</li><li>
Schedule and route the outside medical appointments, internal medical appointments to maximize efficiency and reduce participant travel and wait times.</li><li>
Pro-actively troubleshoot and anticipate possible pick up and drop off issues and find solutions promptly.</li><li>
Generate reports on route optimization, performance metrics and cost analysis for department supervisor.
</li><li>With feedback from Dispatch Supervisor and Transportation Director, make suggestions on continuous route improvements.</li><li>
Provide recommendations and insights for future route planning and route optimization.</li><li>
Schedule next day and beyond outside medical appointments using current methods and tools provided.</li><li>
