<div>PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Perform teller, new account and vault teller duties at various offices. Process currency/coin/checks presented to the credit union for deposit, withdrawal, loan payments, etc. Work in various offices on varying days. Follow credit union policies and procedures and verify proper identification. Cross sell credit union services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS<ul><li>
Maintains excellence in delivering member service and exceeding the credit union and department service standards; greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions. Including resolving member problems/complaints.</li><li>
Provides account services to members by opening and closing accounts, debit cards, receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and member balances, records night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks, and savings bonds.</li><li>
Verifies amounts, examines share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and ensure accuracy when entering deposits into computer records.
</li><li>Cash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals; Redemption of savings bonds. Accept check copy request and order request from members.</li><li>
Process all member requests, i.e. wire transfers, address changes, stop payment, cash advances,</li><li>
Providing a consultative sales approach to meet our member's financial needs by proactively identifying opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell beneficial products, promotions, and services; direct members to a branch representative as needed.
</li><li>Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services that are handled or promoted such as; electronic services, debit and credit cards, money orders and safe deposit boxes.</li><li>
Monitors, orders, dispenses, ships, and balances cash.</li><li>
Assist Tellers and Member Service staff with check approvals, overrides, research errors and outages.</li><li>
Investigates staff out of balance conditions and institutes corrective procedures. Assists in finding balancing errors. Ensures that staff and vault balance at the end of each day and that all monies are secured in accordance with established procedures.</li><li>
Scan daily work and perform such other functions that might be needed from time to time and assist others to complete tasks and work assignments.</li><li>
Reconcile branch reports and GL accounts as required.</li><li>
Performs procedures for opening and closing of operations, including vault, alarm, and door duties.</li><li>
Notify manager of surveillance system, ATM/ITM, alarm systems, drive thru and branch equipment malfunctions, dispatch service as necessary.</li><li>
Maintain accurate data entry regarding member records, maintenance, and transactions; have the ability to find and correct errors.</li><li>
Adheres to dual control processes and audits cash drawers as required.
</li><li>Adherence to security, internal control procedures, policies, mandatory training, compliance, product, and credit union training.</li><li>
Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies, procedures, and rules and regulations, including robbery procedures.</li><li>
Demonstrates an understanding of and follow the requirements of all regulation compliance including but not limited to those Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), AntiMoney Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to their job functions.</li><li>
Responsible for completing BSA/AML compliance training annually.

EDUCATION<ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED required.</li></ul>
EXPERIENCE<ul><li>
Incumbent must have minimum of two (2) years prior experience in financial institution in teller area or one (1) year in financial teller area and one (1) year comparable experience in decision making and cash handling.
</li><li>Most important to this position are accuracy, speed, customer relations, judgment, reliability, and ability to engage in relationship building, a highly positive, service orientated attitude.</li></ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
Position involves wrist/hand manipulation; restriction to workstation for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to bend, stoop and reach overhead.
</li><li>Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents.
</li><li>May be required to stand for extended periods of time.
</li><li>Communication abilities required by this job includes clarity in speech and hearing for effective staff/member interaction.
</li><li>Must be able to drive a vehicle and have a valid driver&rsquo;s license in order to travel to other locations as scheduled or needed.
</li><li>Roams to all branches within either the RGV or Corpus Christi geographic region.
