POSITION OVERVIEW 
The High School Program Leader in academics is responsible for supporting the student's academic needs through one-on-one tutoring, group tutoring, and academic advising. This role will provide you with valuable professional development and personal growth opportunities as you will have the chance to work with different grade bands (9th-12th). This role is for those who are available to work 5 days a week during the school year at Redwood City Clubhouse in Redwood City, CA and reports to the Academic Director. Drawing upon best practices in youth development, you will guide students to build academic and life skills in a meaningful, fun context.

ROLES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Manage various program spaces with approximately 20 students per 1 staff</li>

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; and some stooping, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, crouching, squatting, and/or crawling. <li>Must hold currently or be in the process of obtaining one or more of the following:
<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s degree or higher in education, special education, psychology, counseling, applied behavior analysis, social work, rehabilitation or a closely related field of study issued by an accredited postsecondary institution.</li>
<li>Educational leadership, school principal, administrator or related credential and minimum 2yr's prior experience working with pupils with disabilities.</li>
<li>Pupil personnel services (PPS) credential with authorization for school counseling or psychology.</li>
<li>Licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) credential issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.</li>
<li>Licensure in psychology regulated by the Board of Psychology.</li>
<li>Credential authorizing special education instruction and minimum 2yr's special education teaching experience prior to becoming an administrator.</li>

<li>Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals.</li>
<li>Proven ability to build and maintain multiple relationships with students, parents, teachers and community and/or district partners.</li>

Providence House actively seeks to provide support, training and opportunities that foster growth and well-being for its staff as well as the women we serve.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Program Director is responsible for the overall administration of the Providence House Westchester Department of Social Service (WDSS); this includes the supervision of the Case Manager, Residence Managers and other staff with programmatic responsibilities. The Program Director is responsible for the coordination of client services, staff training and development, implementation of program policies and procedures and summary reports to appropriate NYS and NYC agencies.SUPERVISIONSupervised by: Senior Director of ProgramsRESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Supervises program staff to include completing probationary and annual evaluations, conducting monthly case reviews with staff, provides crisis management.</li><li>Facilitates staff communication through ongoing contacts and periodic meetings to discuss program issues and matters of mutual concern.</li><li>Responsible for monitoring program census and coordinating client referrals.</li><li>Maintains regular communication with contract agencies that pertain to residents referred by these agencies.
