<li>Ensure effective management and timely completion of the evaluation process.</li>
<li>Administer assessments within compliance timelines for assigned students referred for special education evaluations. This includes assessments resulting from initial referrals, three- year mandated reviews and requested re-evaluations.</li>
<li>Attend professional learning hosted by the Office of Supervisors of School Psychologists and apply skills learned to improve assessment practices.</li>
<li>Engage in quality culturally sensitive assessment planning and practice that includes, when deemed appropriate, the use of cross-battery assessment, consideration of construct validity, as well as considerations for English Language Learners</li>
<li>Develop high-quality assessment reports that clearly incorporate findings from multiple assessment sources and describe outcomes including the individual needs of each student assessed. Reports should be thorough and written clearly so that they may be readily understood by parents and school staff.</li>
<li>Reports should be completed and provided to IEP team members within a timeframe that allows for time to review the information shared and for scheduling the IEP meeting within compliance timelines.<b>

<p>Under the immediate supervision of the School Director, the Ross Valley Charter School Office Coordinator is an important member of the school&rsquo;s administrative team and works to ensure that parents, students, staff, community partners and school visitors are consistently greeted with a welcoming, professional environment.</p><p><b>Summary of Duties</b></p><p>This on-site position is ideal for a self-motivated, organized multi-tasker and skilled communicator who is capable of working with children and adults in a kind, cooperative manner and enjoys working within a school community and having frequent, in person contact with parents, teachers, and students.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Manages and maintains an organized, professional, and welcoming school office</li><li>Communicates harmoniously with parents and school staff</li><li>Greets students, families, and other visitors as they arrive on campus</li><li>Acts as the office receptionist: receives and answers phone inquiries; refers messages for staff and students; clearly and confidently conveys information about the school, its schedule and calendar of events, and its policies and procedures</li><li>Responds to office emails in a timely and professional manner</li><li>Completes filing and administrative office tasks</li><li>Keeps daily attendance records and prepares attendance reports; verifies student absences and/or tardies</li><li>Coordinates the school lunch program, including being the point of contact for the school lunch provider; sets up lunch daily</li><li>Coordinates supply orders</li><li>Administers first aid; makes necessary calls for assistance; prepares student and staff accident reports</li><li>Coordinates school communications and newsletters</li><li>Assists the School Director in drafting reports as requested</li><li>Assists in curating school photos and maintaining the school&rsquo;s social media presence</li><li>Reserves facilities and secures vendors for school events, as needed</li><li>Participates in staff and office team meetings and in-service training programs</li><li>Supervises students outside of class, on the playground, and in the lunch area as scheduled and as needed</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree</p><p>Experience with children, preferred</p><p>Prior administrative experience in a school or office setting</p><p>Strong writing and proofreading skills</p><p>Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)</p><p>Current CPR/First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain certification</p><p>Bilingual (Spanish), a plus</p><p>Knowledge of:</p><ul><li>Concepts of child development and behavior (or willingness to learn)</li><li>Conflict resolution techniques (or willingness to learn)</li><li>Clerical duties and necessary skills</li></ul><p>Ability to:</p><ul><li>Model desired behaviors</li><li>Maintain calm when emotions are running high</li><li>Maintain a patient, warm and helpful attitude towards students and parents</li><li>Communicate effectively in person and in writing with all stakeholders</li><li>Complete work accurately and in a timely manner</li><li>Work independently</li><li>Multi-task and graciously handle interruptions</li><li>Flexibly adjust and respond to shifting priorities</li><li>Work with confidentiality and discretion</li><li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues and with the School Director</li><li>Use specified technology to perform key duties of the position</li><li>Answer phones</li></ul><p><b>Benefits</b></p><ul><li>This position is eligible for enrollment in the health benefits subscribed to by the school.</li><li>This position includes paid holidays as specified in the Employee Handbook.</li><li>This position includes vacation during the scheduled fall, winter, and spring school breaks.</li></ul><p><b>Physical Demands</b></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
