POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Supervisor of Specialized Transportation assists in the leadership, coordination, and oversight of specialized transportation services for the Livingston Educational Service Agency. This position is responsible for supporting the supervision of transportation staff, ensuring compliance with state pupil transportation laws and safety regulations, and promoting safe and effective transportation services for students with specialized needs. 
Key responsibilities include oversight of student behavior management on buses, coordination of specialized equipment and medical transportation plans, investigation and processing of transportation incidents, and development of driver and bus assistant training programs. The Associate Supervisor works collaboratively with school administrators, nurses, parents, and transportation staff to ensure student safety and service quality. 
The Associate Supervisor also supports the daily operational management of the transportation department including routing, dispatching, and field trip coordination. In the absence of the Supervisor of Specialized Transportation, the Associate Supervisor may assume operational oversight of transportation services to maintain continuity of operations.

Assist in coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of specialized transportation services to ensure safe and efficient student transportation.</li><li>
Provide operational leadership and guidance to bus drivers and bus assistants regarding routing, safety procedures, and student management practices.</li><li>
Support dispatch operations and assist in resolving route or driver issues during daily operations.</li><li>
Review, investigate, and manage student incident reports involving transportation staff and students.</li><li>
Work collaboratively with school administrators, transportation staff, and parents to develop and implement behavior intervention strategies for students exhibiting challenges during transportation.</li><li>
Provide guidance to drivers and bus assistants on appropriate student management procedures.</li><li>
Monitor compliance with transportation safety procedures, evacuation requirements, and student care plans.</li><li>
Assist in maintaining compliance with state pupil transportation laws, safety standards, and agency policies.</li><li>
Support department safety initiatives and reinforce safe work practices among transportation staff.</li><li>
Accurately maintains and processes attendance.</li><li>
Answers routine phone inquiries, takes messages, routes calls.</li><li>

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Assist in the general and day-to-day supervision of the transportation/operations dept. and in the absence of the Supervisor of Transportation, supervise the transportation system in accordance with state law and policies along with school district policies.</li><li>
Assist in the supervision and coordination of specialized transportation staff including bus drivers, bus assistants, dispatchers and other personnel.</li><li>
Provide leadership, guidance, and operational direction to transportation personnel regarding student safety, equipment usage, and transportation procedures.</li><li>
Monitor staff adherence to transportation policies, safety standards, and student care plans.</li><li>
Assist in addressing employee concerns, incident follow-up, and operational issues involving transportation personnel.</li><li>
Support the Supervisor of Specialized Transportation in implementing department policies, procedures, and safety initiatives, including planning of safety meetings and in-service trainings.</li><li>
In the absence of the Supervisor of Specialized Transportation, assist in overseeing transportation operations to ensure continuity of service and compliance with agency and state requirements.</li></ul>
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in fleet operations or student transportation.
Required: Must possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements. 
Preferred: Michigan School Business Officials Certification in Transportation, 3 years&rsquo; experience in special needs school transportation, knowledge of transportation routing systems. 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before parents, staff and students. 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Weekly Hours: 40-55 per week 
Standard Shift: 08:00 - 17:00 PST (09:00 - 18:00 MST, 10:00 - 19:00 CST, 11:00 - 20:00 EST)

We seek an organized, adaptable, communicative, and values-driven entrepreneurial professional to join our team as our Recruitment Manager. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Recruitment, Onboarding and Compliance and will collaborate regularly with the Onboarding and Compliance team, operations managers, and selected vendors. This role manages vendors and direct reports. 
What You&rsquo;ll Do: 
Oversee and manage direct reports to ensure we meet hiring goals<ul>
<li>
Track, improve, evaluate, and be accountable for the team's performance metrics</li>
<li>Organize and motivate people to accomplish activities on time and with quality</li>
<li>Support and lean in when capacity is needed</li>
<li>Listen to call recordings to provide coaching and techniques to improve recruitment conversion</li>
<li>Keep all training materials up to date</li></ul> 
Manage the high-volume recruitment process across all metro areas<ul>
<li>
Generate leads using online and offline platforms</li>
<li>Ensure recruitment materials reflect the most current information (interview rubric, interview questions, job postings etc.)</li>
<li>Support execution of driver referral program</li>
<li>Assist senior management with executing strategies on how to improve the applicant experience (ie: testing AI, consistently refining our driver personas)</li>
<li>A and B test job ads to see what context yields the best results</li>
<li>Create, maintain, and execute recruitment travel calendar</li></ul> 
Support employer brand efforts.<ul>
<li>
Collect reviews from current drivers</li>
<li>Keep online presence up to date and fresh, so we can attract top talent (including but not limited to Indeed page, social media sites, etc.)</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for improvement by reviewing and escalating negative reviews and feedback.</li></ul> 
Updates and maintains the applicant tracking system and other related recruitment systems. 
Create and maintain driver personas. 
Other duties as assigned 
Qualified applicants must have:
<ul><li>3-4 years as a recruitment manager, or similar position, with a strong track record of successful and timely recruitment</li>
<li>At least 2 years of remote work experience (hybrid or COVID remote not considered)</li>
<li>3-4 years of people management experience</li>
<li>3 years high-volume recruitment experience across multiple states</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience leveraging technology to improve process efficiency and effectiveness</li>
<li>Experience hiring non-salary positions</li>
<li>Highly proficient in Google Suite tools, specifically Gmail, Google Docs, sheets, and Slides (or equivalent platform ie: Microsoft)</li>
<li>Read, write, and speak English at a proficient level</li>
<li>At least 18 years old</li>
<li>Have a working computer with a camera and microphone</li>
<li>Have a reliable internet connection</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul><li>Experience working with Fountain</li>
<li>Experience recruiting for a position that is highly regulated (ie: bus drivers)</li>
<li>Knowledge of pupil transportation industry processes and regulations</li>
<li>Ability to demonstrate leveraging online and offline recruitment lead sources</li>
<li>Experience A&amp;B testing ads</li>
<li>Experience leveraging Ai in the recruitment process</li></ul>
