</b></h3><div><div><p>The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for tenured / tenure-track open-rank faculty positions within its Computer Science Program. The search will prioritize candidates who specialize in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), including but not limited to areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning, ethical/trustworthy AI, and interdisciplinary applications of AI/ML in various domains. We welcome applicants whose research advances the theoretical foundations of AI/ML and/or explores novel methodologies and transformative applications that address real-world challenges.</p>

Multidisciplinary research and exceptional teaching in a highly diverse and inclusive campus community are hallmarks of the University&rsquo;s mission. Faculty within the Program of Computer Science at NYUAD are highly collaborative and pursue cutting-edge research that is very interdisciplinary. Their internationally renowned research projects are in fields that include, but are not limited to: artificial intelligence; big data; bioinformatics; computational sciences; cybersecurity; human-data interaction; information and communication technologies for development; machine learning, natural language processing; software engineering and analysis, and theoretical computer science.<br>

There are many collaboration opportunities within the research centers, which include the Center for Cyber Security, the Center for Interacting Urban Networks (CITIES), the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), the Center of Interdisciplinary Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CIDSAI), the Center for Quantum and Topological Systems, as well as with faculty in NYU New York&rsquo;s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Tandon School of Engineering.<br>

Available openings are at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor rank (tenured/tenure-track). Applicants should hold a PhD and demonstrate an outstanding track record for their career stage, in both research and teaching. This includes having publications in leading peer-reviewed journals or conferences, as well as experience in or the potential to lead research projects and secure research funding. As part of a multi-year hiring plan, we are interested in excellent candidates from Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, but may also consider other areas of Computer Science, including, but not limited to the fields where we have current strengths.<br>

Research interests in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics currently include sensory and motor systems neuroscience, computational neuroscience, ion channel biophysics, synaptic function, developmental neurobiology, cardiac and skeletal muscle physiology, and cell signaling. Research interests in the Department of Ophthalmology include retinal biology, development, human retinal organoids, cell and tissue transplantation, epidemiology, artificial intelligence, and systematic reviews. Extra-departmental interactions within neuroscience and physiology, including basic science and translational collaborations, are facilitated by several NIH-supported interdepartmental graduate programs and centers (e.g., Neuroscience Program, Computational Biology Program, and Integrated Physiology Program). In addition, the NeuroTechnology Center supports core facilities that include advanced light microscopy, super resolution nanoscopy, rodent in vivo behavior and electrophysiology, neural engineering, and a machine shop (medschool.cuanschutz.edu/neurotechnologycenter).</p><p>
