Our productions are already live on the PlotPix app, delivering emotionally addictive, binge-worthy fiction designed for short episodes and fast audience payoff.
We’re building at the intersection of AI, storytelling, video generation and entertainment, and are looking for engineers excited to work on this rapidly evolving space.
About the Role
We’re looking for an SDE – Backend Focused with strong MERN stack fundamentals and a genuine interest in building with AI.
You’ll primarily work with Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, REST APIs and GCP, while also getting hands-on exposure to AI agents, model orchestration, video AI, model fine-tuning and scalable AI architectures.
This is a highly hands-on role where you’ll own features end-to-end, work closely with engineers, product and design teams, and contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and build AI agent architectures and orchestration workflows.
- Work with AI/video generation models, including model experimentation and fine-tuning.
- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
- Design and optimize MongoDB/NoSQL databases, schemas, queries and aggregation pipelines.
- Develop robust APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient and well-tested code.
- Implement authentication, authorization, data validation and API security best practices.
- Optimize backend performance, API response times and database queries.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways and external services.
- Work with authentication, authorization, OAuth and API security.
- Debug production issues and proactively improve system reliability and performance.
- Work closely with frontend engineers to define API contracts and build seamless integrations.
- Monitor backend services and troubleshoot issues across development and production environments.
- Contribute to system design, architecture and scalability as the product grows.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Tech Stack
MUST HAVE
- 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with MERN stack, specially Node.js.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB / NoSQL databases.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Good understanding of backend architecture and database design.
- Working experience with React.js.
- Experience with Redis / caching.
- Working knowledge of GCP and cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization and API security.
- Experience with OAuth.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of Git and version control.
GOOD TO HAVE
- Experience with AI/LLM APIs or AI-powered products.
- Exposure to AI agents, agentic workflows or AI orchestration.
- Experience working with or fine-tuning AI/video generation models.
- Experience with Claude, Codex or similar AI coding/development tools.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with message queues/event-driven architecture, such as BullMQ or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Understanding of system design and distributed systems.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Experience with Flutter or mobile application development.
