About The Position</b></p>
<p>
The Security Supervisor &ndash; Second Shift Lead is a full-time, 12-month leadership position responsible for overseeing and directing security operations during the school&rsquo;s second shift. Working under the direction of the Director of Security, this role serves as the on-site leader for afternoon, evening, and weekend operations, ensuring continuity of command, operational excellence, and a safe environment for the entire Chapin community.</p>
<p>
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising security staff assigned to the second shift and ensuring the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, parents, visitors, and the building and overseeing security needs at school events.</p>
<p>
This position requires professionalism, strong verbal and written communication skills, a customer-service-based approach, sound judgment, and demonstrated knowledge of security best practices in an educational environment.</p>
<p><b>
The standard academic-year schedule is:</b><br>
Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 pm &ndash; 9:00 pm<br>
Saturday, 8:00 am &ndash; 4:00 pm</p>
<p>
This role requires flexibility based on school needs, including special events, performances, athletic competitions, admissions events, and other community programs. Overtime hours and schedule adjustments will be required as needed.</p>
<p>
During the summer months, when school is not in regular session, scheduling may be adjusted to reflect operational needs, construction projects, camps, or reduced campus activity.</p>
<p>
The successful candidate will also be expected to work some holidays as operational needs require.</p>

Responsibilities Include</b></h2>

<li><p>Serve as the on-site leader for second shift security operations under the direction of the Director of Security.</p><br>

<li><p>Ensure consistent enforcement of school safety protocols and procedures.</p><br>

<li><p>Patrol and monitor the building and grounds; respond immediately on foot to any location within the 12-story building.</p><br>

<li><p>Greet all visitors in a courteous and professional manner while maintaining vigilant access control.</p><br>

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard</b></p><ul><li>
Excellent customer service is always your top priority.</li><li>
Assist the officers with visitor management and access control, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the property.</li><li>
You will be involved in patrolling the property by car, bike, and by foot all day in a safe manner.</li><li>
You are physically able to do patrols by bike and car, during your shift, despite all-weather conditions.</li><li>
You greet residents and their guests with a friendly demeanor verifying their identity and ensuring proper access to the community.</li><li>
You respond to calls as needed.</li><li>
You observe, survey the area, and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.</li><li>
You assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to enhance community safety.</li><li>
You supervise and coordinate the activities of security officers on shift, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures.</li><li>
You regularly inspect and maintain all security equipment and the patrol vehicles, and bikes to ensure they are operating correctly.</li><li>
You excel in reading and writing detailed reports.</li><li>
You report any discrepancies to the account manager.</li><li>
You provide rapid response in critical situations, providing assistance and coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.</li><li>
You document and report any unusual activities or incidents to site management and the appropriate authorities and communicate with the Homeowners Association regarding emergencies or safety concerns.</li><li>
You keep accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and visitor information to ensure a clear record of events for security purposes.</li><li>
You know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards.
</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard</b></p><ul><li>
You have at least a copy of HS/GED diploma or transcripts in hand.</li><li>
You can obtain Bike Certification equal to what the LVPD does!</li><li>
You&rsquo;re able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process.</li><li>
You have 1 year of Supervisor experience as a Sift Lead or higher, in a fast-paced setting.</li><li>
You have excellent coaching abilities that will allow you to grow the force and strengthen their reputation in a positive manner.</li><li>
You have a &quot;Do what it takes&quot; attitude and have a history of success.</li><li>
You have a valid PILB in hand.</li><li>
You have a valid Driver's License.</li><li>
You are able to patrol by bike mostly, by car, and your feet, despite the weather conditions throughout your shift.</li><li>
You must be over 21 years old.</li><li>
You are a U.S. Citizen or Naturalized.</li></ul><p>
