About the Position
We are looking for an Architect to evaluate, design, and advise on the architecture, security posture, and risk profile of SaaS applications within an enterprise environment.
This role blends enterprise architecture principles with deep cloud and application security expertise to ensure SaaS solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business and technology strategy.
The Architect will work across technical and business teams, providing strategic and tactical guidance with minimal oversight, and ensuring secure adoption of SaaS and cloud technologies.

Preferred Qualifications 
 
MS or PhD degree and 20+ years of relevant experience. 
 
Experience in biometrics, user identification and authentication, imaging/camera security and/or Wi-Fi/BT/UWB security. 
 
Experience in effectively communicating highly technical details to a non-technical audience and leading cross-functional initiatives to define, drive and productize security features. 
 
Experience working with hardware architecture and design teams to define security solutions. 
 
Ability to critically analyze security properties of a system and evaluate security policy requests via an established security architecture speciﬁcation. 
 
Ability to work cross-functionally with Privacy, Safety, Service, Manufacturing, Software, and/or Product teams to resolve system-level security issues. 
 
Proven innovation in product / silicon / software security, e.g. patents, publications etc. 
 
Programming and/or auditing experience with Python, C, and unix shell scripting. 
 
Minimum Qualifications 
 
BS degree. 
 
Experience with basic cryptographic principles. (e.g., symmetric vs asymmetric crypto, encryption vs authentication, and/or public key infrastructure implementations) 
 
Experience with platform security primitives. (e.g. Secure Boot, Secure Update, Secure Communication across entities, Secure lifecycle management etc.) 
 
Experience in threat modeling system designs spanning across software, hardware and system designs.

Pay &amp; Benefits 
 
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $212,000 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
