The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion MultiPurpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.</p><p><b>
Responsibilities Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:</b></p><ul><li>Deploy, monitor and maintain cybersecurity tools across multiple systems.</li><li>Collaborate with team and system owner to proactively identify and resolve potential technical issues and or improve the systems security posture.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cybersecurity tool performance, data accuracy, and availability.</li><li>Ensure that systems are hardened and maintain compliance with cybersecurity standards.</li><li>Perform periodic systems upgrades and patches in between critical operations.</li><li>Proficient with Vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus, and analyzing vulnerability scan results, assessing risk levels, and prioritizing remediation efforts.</li><li>Serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues encountered by system administrators.</li><li>Define, document and follow standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Science (BS) in related field with at least 4 years of IT experience or 6 years IT experience. <li>2+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting &amp; remediating Windows (Desktop &amp; Server), Linux, MacOS</li>
<li>Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell</li>
<li>Good presentation skills both in person and virtually (Teams/Zoom)</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Proficient with preparing technical documentation - procedures, policies, proposals</li>
<li>Be flexible &ndash; vulnerabilities come in all shapes and sizes and require consistent learning and innovation</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Recommended Qualifications</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Hardware maintenance experience (Dell, Cisco, NetApp, and more)</li>
<li>Experience with ServiceNow &ndash; Managing tasks, working with CMDB/CI's, creating reports, dashboards, queries</li>
<li>Use of vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Prisma Cloud, and Security Scorecard</li>
<li>Involvement with common security standards &ndash; CIS, STIG, NIST 800-53, CMMC, FedRAMP, along with implementing vendor hardening guidelines</li>
<li>Experience with endpoint management tools such as SCCM, Ansible, Salt Stack, JAMF</li>
<li>Operational level knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud &amp; Amazon Web Services</li>
<li>Operational knowledge of containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)</li>
<li>Experience with PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides</li>
<li>Certification(s) in Microsoft (MCSE), Linux, AWS, Azure, VMware</li>
