SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE 
The Administrative Assistant performs a full range of administrative support duties for the Elko Senior Center. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: 
<ul><li>
Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate resource.</li><li>
Communicate tactfully, both orally and in writing, with co-workers and the general public.</li><li>
Comply with Elko Senior Center and Elko County Policies.</li><li>
Compose documents and materials including correspondence, memoranda, reports, charts, and other items in support of program and Center operations; provide and explain information including applicable rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures; distribute materials to concerned parties according to established distribution lists or on an as-needed basis.</li><li>
Manages office machines.</li><li>
Maintain and organize Center records and files.</li><li>
Work with appropriate organizations.</li><li>
Assists with the grant process and maintains required files. Tracks progress and ensure compliance with grant requirements.</li><li>
Organizes and maintains Center invoices to be paid. Prepares invoices for approval for payment of invoice. Processes appropriate method of payment. Resolves problems that arise from incorrect billing.</li><li>
Make bank deposits as necessary, but not less than weekly. Reconcile petty cash funds.</li><li>
Create spreadsheets including formulas to organize, display and summarize data, facilitate analysis and identify interrelationships; prepare special reports using relevant and appropriate data.</li><li>
Submits documentation, such as quarterly reports for open grants and federal funding to the appropriate program.</li><li>
Tracks and informs employees of renewal requirements for licensure, certifications, and memberships as needed.</li><li>
Assist in all areas of the Center, including the Kitchen, as needed.</li></ul></div>

<div><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Minimum 2 years of related work experience.</li><li>
Must maintain a valid Nevada driver's license.</li></ul></div>

POSITION SUMMARY 
This position provides leadership and expertise to the representatives providing customer service to providers and members of benefit plans; supports the development of the company health plans as well as the staff by coordinating the training, documentation, client communication techniques, and other resources necessary to ensure an excellent quality of service. 7. Works under limited supervision to provide for diverse customer service needs for multiple benefit plans. Interprets company and contracted managed care organization policy and procedure. This position manages diverse customer needs while positioning services and programs as the preferred choice for meeting the stated needs. This position independently interprets benefits and managed care policies and procedures and communicates accordingly to customer base, following general guidelines and standards, this position will determine appropriate action to meet customer needs. 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. 
 
Must have substantial previous related work experience in managed care benefits member/provider services work are required, with three to fours years of experience in a high volume service center or managed care environment, preferably with self-insured plans. 
 
Must possess excellent communication skills to handle moderately complex inquiries, while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude. Requires the ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls, search the database or resources tools for correct and timely information, and maintain a professional demeanor all times. Must have the ability to learn and effectively use the company&rsquo;s customer information systems, as well as developing and maintaining a fundamental knowledge of the organization&rsquo;s benefit plans. 
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
Experience working with self insured plans is highly preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus.

<div>This position provides leadership for GVSU&rsquo;s peer tutoring and supplemental instruction programs, ensuring high-quality academic support for all students, as part of the university&rsquo;s Knowledge Market. The role oversees staff and peer tutors, collaborates with faculty, staff, and campus partners, in close collaboration with other Knowledge Market centers and University Libraries&rsquo; colleagues, developing services that promote student retention and success across disciplines and fields university-wide through the Tutoring and Reading Center, drop-in tutoring, and, structured learning assistance.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

8. Manage, review, consolidate, and update Tutoring and Reading Center administrative systems and processes in collaboration with the Knowledge Market Senior Director.
 
9. Support the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluation of peer tutors; supervise the SLA program, including managing hiring, training, and supervision of SLA facilitators and student leadership team.
 
10. Assist the Knowledge Market Senior Director to coordinate and strengthen collaborative partnerships with colleges, faculty, unit heads, administrators, and colleagues to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of tutoring services, in collaboration with other center directors/administrative leads within the Knowledge Market.
 
11. Represent the Tutoring and Reading Center as needed, in coordination with the Senior Director of the Knowledge Market, on university committees.
 
12. Supervise daily tutoring operations including adequate staffing to meet student needs across disciplines and .managing the Tutoring and Reading Center&rsquo;s presence at orientation, in coordination with the Senior Director of the Knowledge Market.
 
13. Coordinate Drop-In Tutoring Center Directors/Coordinators to align tutoring support services across centers.
 
14. Schedule and lead monthly collaboration meetings for Drop-In Tutoring Center Directors/Coordinators.
 
15. Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, timekeeping, and evaluation processes for tutoring program staff in alignment with Knowledge Market practices and direction from the Senior Director of the Knowledge Market.
 
16. Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

What Will You Do in This Role?
As an Assistant Director of Nursing | ADON, you will be responsible for supporting and carrying out the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with orders of the physicians and total needs of the residents. In partnership with the Director of Nursing (DON), you will be responsible for the 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and directing the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal, State and The Company standards, guidelines, and regulations. In absence of the Director of Nursing (DON), the Assistant Director of Nursing | ADON, assumes the responsibility for clinical operations.
