The Opportunity
This position works out of our St. Paul, MN or Plymouth, MN location in the Electrophysiology division. In Abbott&rsquo;s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we&rsquo;re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
As the Senior Clinical Research Scientist you will lead scientific activities associated with the design, conduct, and reporting of clinical trials for this therapeutic area. This position will participate in the development of clinical evidence to establish feasibility, achieve regulatory approvals, meet ongoing regulatory requirements, gain reimbursement, and support full commercial adoption of medical devices. You will support the analysis and interpretation of scientific data and write clinical study protocols, reports, and scientific publications. You will aid in the production of additional study-level documents including informed consent forms, case report forms, and investigator brochures. In this role, you will interact with physician Key Opinion Leaders and various cross-functional teams, including Marketing, R&amp;D, Field Operations, Risk Management, Reimbursement, Medical Affairs, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs. You will also interact with global regulatory agencies to obtain market approval of new products, and with study sites to respond to questions throughout the study.

Primary Duties
Team and Cross Functional Leadership: 
a. Leads the study team in the execution of clinical studies to meet the Evidence Generation Plan from study synopsis to data lock and final study report 
b. Partner with internal stakeholders to lead the development, review, and finalization of clinical protocols to meet regulatory and scientific objectives 
c. Contribute to the development of the study synopsis 
d. Partner with key stakeholders to create and manage the study execution team 
e. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Biostatistics, Program Management, external vendors, and contract research organizations (CROs) to ensure high-quality study conduct 
f. Mentor Associate Clinical Research Scientist(s) and provide guidance on clinical operations processes, study management and other study execution tasks
Study Planning, Strategy and Reporting: 
a. Develop and manage study budgets, timelines, enrollment strategies, and resourcing requirements to ensure study milestones are met 
b. Develop and manage all required plans including clinical study project plans, study execution plans, risk and risk mitigation plans, monitoring plan, and communication plans 
c. Contributes to or leads the development of abstracts/posters of study results in collaboration with study team 
d. Develop clinical study reports and/or contribute to the development of scientific publications
Study Management and Site Management:

 The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to support innovative clinical and translational research on brain health and disease in diverse populations within the UAE and wider MENA region.
 
 
 The successful applicant will play a central role in the day-to-day execution of human-subjects research studies, working within a multidisciplinary team of faculty investigators, research assistants, clinicians, and students. The position involves coordinating clinical and observational research protocols that integrate advanced neuroimaging, neuromonitoring, and behavioural methods, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, participant safety, and high-quality data collection.
 
 
 Key responsibilities include coordinating participant recruitment and workflow (pre-screening, informed consent, scheduling, and follow-up), maintaining regulatory and ethics documentation, liaising with clinical partners and imaging facilities, and overseeing clinical aspects of MRI, EEG, and MEG sessions. The Junior Research Scientist / Clinical Coordinator will also contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, support training of research assistants and students, track study progress and recruitment metrics, and assist with grant applications, ethics submissions, and progress reporting. The role works closely with dedicated neuroimaging and research assistants who focus on technical data acquisition, imaging pipelines, and analysis, while the Clinical Coordinator leads clinical governance and participant-facing workflows.
 
 
 Applicants must hold a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, nursing, or a related field; a Master&rsquo;s degree or clinical qualification (e.g., nursing, allied health, clinical psychology) is strongly preferred. Candidates should have 2&ndash;3 years of experience coordinating human-subjects research or clinical trials, ideally in neurology, psychiatry, or related areas, and demonstrated familiarity with ethical and regulatory requirements for human research. Experience working with patient populations and/or in neuroimaging or neuromodulation environments (MRI, EEG, MEG, TMS) is highly advantageous. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages spoken in the UAE is an asset.

 1. Lead formulation development activities with up-to-date knowledge of emerging market trends, diverse product aesthetics and textures, advanced technologies, and innovative cosmetic ingredients, ensuring compliance with Halal, COSMOS, and GSO regulations.
 
 
 2. Demonstrate strong formulation expertise and ingredient selection knowledge in accordance with Halal, COSMOS, and GSO guidelines, balancing performance, safety, sustainability, and cost.
 
 
 3. Formulate and develop cosmetic and personal care products across skincare, haircare, makeup, and toiletries, including research, evaluation, and selection of raw materials and actives based on efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
 
 
 4. Drive product innovation by supporting marketing claims, conducting product safety assessments, substantiating claims, developing differentiated concepts, and executing cost-effective formulation optimization and reformulation strategies.
 
 
 5. Possess in-depth knowledge of stability studies, product performance evaluation, consumer study and protocol preparation and compliance requirements under GSO cosmetic regulations.

Senior Scientist (R2)- Target Validation and Early Project Lead
As a Senior Scientist in the Mechanistic Biology team, you will lead novel target identification and validation across multiple animal diseases to build the drug discovery pipeline. This is a non-lab role focused on guiding cross-functional teams through early-stage drug discovery by leveraging advanced in vitro techniques, functional genomics, and AI/ML data analysis.
Your Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead the identification and prioritization of novel targets using in-vitro/vivo experiments, literature reviews, biological assays, bioinformatics, functional genomics, AI/ML and novel approaches.</li><li>
Guide cross-functional teams through the first stage of drug discovery, from initial concept to target validation.</li><li>
Develop strategies to de-risk targets and enhance commercial viability by integrating Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) considerations.</li><li>
Manage external CRO partnerships and foster strategic collaborations across research teams, including, technical development, preclinical development, discovery, medicinal chemistry and computational biology.</li><li>
Develop and integrate biomarker strategies and translational in vitro disease models to accelerate early-stage discovery.</li><li>
Lead the building of new indications areas identified as important in animal health.</li><li>
Assess on-target, off-target, and safety risks of pipeline assets, while providing expert physiological support on disease and drug effects.</li><li>

 The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) (https://brainandhealth.org/) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Research Scientist to explore scientific questions related to an in-progress normative brain database. The Research Scientist will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for collection, c, MEG, EEG, and eye tracking. The tentpole of the CBH is a normative brain database - the first of its kind in the region - that includes structural, functional, and diffusion MRI, behavioral and health measures, genetic information, and lifestyle questionnaires
 
 
 Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychology, MR Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Postdoctoral experience or equivalent is preferred. This position requires extensive experience with multimodal MRI, including functional and structural MRI and tractography. Experience with big data analysis techniques is essential. Experience working with other large brain databases is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess strong computational skills and a strong publication record.
