At CESO, a Senior (Sr) Designer position requires proficient knowledge of design and drafting techniques, Architectural and Engineering drawing sets, computer-aided design, modeling work, and graphics (CAD/BIM), and understanding of construction documentation. A Sr Designer is responsible for developing and leading design and documentation efforts for complete architectural building projects, including coordination of complex civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering systems, with minimum supervision. The Sr Designer also takes on the role of helping to mentor and train Designers and Lead Designers.</div>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Primary Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>
Use independent judgement to create and lead the production of detailed scaled plans and supporting documentation for building construction projects based on preliminary concepts, sketches, and design guidelines set forth by the Client/Owner provided by more senior staff.</li><li>
Create and lead design and preparation of 2D and 3D detailed construction drawings, and designs using Computer-Assisted Design (CAD) and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.</li><li>
Be able to review projects to implement required constructability and code requirements as required by the authorities having jurisdiction.</li><li>
Coordinate the entire building construction project with associated sub-consultants and provide feedback to sub-consultants pertaining to company and client drawing standards.
</li><li>Assist Team Leads and/or Project Managers in Quality Assurance reviews performing redline mark-ups of drawings/documents produced by Designers, Lead Designers and other production staff.</li><li>
Self-check redline completion, highlight completed redlines, print check drawings and review prior to returning completed work to Team Leads, Project Managers and/or Quality Control team members.</li><li>
Be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to meet project deadlines.</li><li>

Position Requirements</h3><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related fields is required.</li><li>
Minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.</li><li>

Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.

This role has a minimum base pay from $17.28 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.
Purpose:
Floor &amp; Decor Sr. Designer leads our design team and provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. At Floor &amp; Decor Senior Designers are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their project needs, educating them on all that is required for their project, and building a creative design concept that incorporates the customers personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

The Senior Designer will be responsible for providing advanced creative technical advice for highly complex marketing communication projects.

Originates design layout and executes creative plans.</li><li>
Uses graphic design software applications to produce printed/digital sales and marketing materials, multimedia solutions, and/or interactive experiences.</li><li>

Acts as project lead for all complex assignments.</li><li>
May provide guidance or direction to team members.</li><li>
May consult directly with clients and team members on all projects in progress within the department.</li><li>
Develops creative concepts that are on strategy and that break through across channels.</li><li>
Collaborates with a copywriting partner to produce thoughtful engaging executions.</li><li>
Supports and cares for the tone and identity of our brands.</li><li>
Originates design layout and executes creative plans.</li><li>
Produces a wide range of deliverables, including social media, digital display, landing pages, videos, and print collateral materials.</li></ul> 
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
 
 
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:<ul><li>
A portfolio/reel of conceptual and expertly crafted campaigns is strongly preferred.</li><li>
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite highly preferred.</li><li>
Experience with social media (Instagram and Facebook) preferred.</li><li>
3-5 years of experience in Art Direction or Design highly preferred.</li><li>
Ability to communicate ideas with clarity and influence audiences highly preferred.</li><li>
Conversant in industry trends and current technology highly preferred.</li><li>
Strong problem-solving, communication and relationship building skills highly preferred.</li></ul>
