 We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. The candidate will be partially based in the office (location to be agreed following appointment) and partially on site, and will report directly to the Senior Asset Planning Engineer in the Asset Planning Maintenance Team.

  Key Duties And Responsibilities

   Review strategy for best practice for replacement, maintenance, and inspection of LV, MV and generators.
  </li>
  <li>
   Work closely with Asset Planning Engineer for the prioritisation and identification of critical electrical risks.
  </li>
  <li>
   Work closely with Infrastructure Delivery, Operational and Health &amp; Safety teams to develop mitigation requirements on electrical risks.
  </li>
  <li>
   Review remediation works undertaken by delivery partners for continuous improvement.
  </li>
  <li>
   Attend Working Groups on Electrical issues where required.
  </li>
  <li>
   Play a key role in stakeholder management with internal and external stakeholders.
  </li>
  <li>
   Support in managing the risks associated with Electrical Systems.
  </li>
  <li>
   Support to ensure legal compliance with Electrical regulation.
  </li>
  <li>
   Support in enhancing its electrical systems strategy.
  </li>
  <li>
   Performing other such duties in relation to work and asset management as required.

  Key Requirements

   Minimum of 7 years&rsquo; experience with Electrical engineering qualification or Electrical trades qualification and relevant experience.

   Expert knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules from IEC and EN Standards in accordance with Part 3 of the 2007 Safety Health &amp; Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations and other relevant legislation.
  </li>

   Desirable to have knowledge of CompEx (meaning - Competency working in Explosive atmospheres) with respect to electrical equipment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Knowledge of water/waste or relevant industrial sites.
  </li>
  <li>
   Proven track record in dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion, along with the ability to communicate complex information to others.

 The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible:

   Participate in equipment selection and procurement process.

   Attend workshop and site inspection of Electrical facilities as the plan permits.

   Inspect project site to monitor HSE, progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and project standards.

   Identify gaps in existing practices and tools and manage the process of developing new practices or toolkit items that enhance company technological offering.

   Reports any breaches of safety procedures to supervision/management.
  </li>
  <li>
   Participate pre and post contract award in discussions with Asset Owners to assess and assist in the definition of user requirements.

  <li>
   Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.

   Be responsible for the coordination, execution, and progress of Electrical Engineering design.

   Be responsible for technical accuracy, quality, and economy of Electrical engineering applications design.
