<div><div>An Environmental Scientist, Remediation participates in an emergency response and environmental remediation team to proficiently conduct environmental sampling and data collection. The Environmental Scientist may also be the primary CTEH contact for interactions. In performing such duties, an Environmental Scientist will conduct and may lead the data collection and investigations for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminating sources of pollutants or hazards that affect either the environment or the health of the public. They will be able to understand and operate all environmental monitoring and sampling equipment used on emergency response and environmental remediation projects. Utilizing knowledge of various scientific disciplines, they may collect, synthesize, study, report, and act based on data derived from measurements or observations of air, food, soil, water, and other sources.
