</li><li>Surface compelling stories from across 16 offices by coordinating with proposal marketing leads, engagement leads, and business unit leadership
</li><li>Interview executives, project managers, and subject matter experts to extract insights and technical expertise
</li><li>Write high-quality content including case studies, project spotlights, thought leadership articles, website content, and newsletters
</li><li>Ghostwrite executive thought leadership content and bylined articles for trade publications
</li><li>Brief and coordinate with video team on story concepts, scripts, and narrative direction
</li><li>Partner with Copy Editor to refine content for brand voice consistency and quality
</li><li>Coordinate regular story coordination calls with proposal marketing leads to identify content opportunities

<div><div>Media Relations &amp; PR (30-35%) 
</div><div><ul><li>Write and distribute press releases for project milestones, awards, company announcements, and industry developments
</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts including trade publications (ENR, Utah Construction &amp; Design, etc.) and local business journals
</li><li>Pitch stories to secure earned media coverage in target publications
</li><li>Position Layton executives as industry experts and sources for journalists
</li><li>Manage media inquiries and coordinate interview opportunities
</li><li>Track media placements and coverage outcomes
</li><li>Upload press releases to website and coordinate with Sr. Digital Marketing Coordinator for social amplification
</li><li>Work with Marketing &amp; Engagement Leads to identify story-worthy events and leverage regional media contacts

<div><div>Thought Leadership &amp; Industry Positioning

</div><div><ul><li>Develop content around industry expertise including construction technology, sector-specific insights, safety innovations, and sustainability practices

</div><div><ul><li>3-5 years of professional experience in content marketing, communications, PR, or journalism
</li><li>Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with portfolio demonstrating diverse content types
</li><li>Experience translating complex or technical concepts into accessible, engaging narratives
</li><li>Proven ability to interview subject matter experts and extract compelling stories
</li><li>Understanding of media relations and experience building relationships with journalists
</li><li>Experience pitching stories and securing earned media coverage
</li><li>Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
</li><li>Self-directed professional who takes initiative while keeping leadership informed
</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across departments
