The Opportunity

DESIGNATION: Senior Piping Designer</div>
<div><b>
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -</b></div>
<div>
Perform piping engineering services such as:</div>
<ul>
<li>Participating in, and facilitating internal design reviews</li>
<li>Independently handling of development of Plot Plans, Piping General Arrangement drawings &amp; sections, Pipe support details etc.</li>
<li>Preparation of Isometrics.</li>
<li>Piping material take-off</li>
<li>Checking of all kinds of piping drawings</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of latest version of Auto CAD / CADWorx, 3D modelling software tools (like E3D, SP3D etc.) and clash detection / resolution.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with the other discipline designers / engineers / project team.</li>
<li>Ensure that completion of assigned work on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.</li>
</ul>
<div><b>REQUIRED SKILLS:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Piping or Petroleum Engineering from any reputed University.</li>
<li>Minimum Experience of 5-10 years in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and/or Refineries Industries as a Piping designer</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software particularly Excel and word.</li>
<li>Shall be familiar with international codes and standards such as API, ANSI and ASME</li>
<li>Flexible attitude, team player, with good written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Required input and support to other disciplines such as Process, Civil, instrumentation, mechanical, electrical and HSE</li>
<li>Proven experience in engineering design tools such as MicroStation / AutoCAD and Naviswork. Smartplant SP3D and AVEVA E3D experience will be the added advantage.</li></ul></div><br>

The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of designers, assign work scopes, and ensure accurate and compliant deliverables. This role requires strong expertise in piping design for offshore facilities, extensive experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects, and proficiency in E3D and AutoCAD software.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead and supervise a team of professional piping designers, defining and assigning scopes of work.</li><li>Develop detailed design and construction drawings such as Plot Plans, Piping GADs, Key Plans, Isometrics, and Demolition drawings.</li><li>Prepare procurement and construction MTOs from approved drawings and documents.</li><li>Ensure all design deliverables comply with QatarEnergy, Shell DEP, and international standards.</li><li>Provide design support for non-critical piping supports.</li><li>Review and check drawings, ensuring accuracy and technical compliance with project requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results within project timelines.</li><li>Support construction and commissioning phases as required.</li></ul><p><i><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience</b></i></p><ul><li><b>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering</b> from an accredited university.</li><li><b>10&ndash;15 years of relevant experience</b> in FEED and detailed engineering of oil &amp; gas facilities (greenfield and brownfield, including offshore).</li><li>At least <b>5 years of detailed design experience in offshore brownfield modifications</b>.</li><li>Minimum <b>5 years of hands-on experience with E3D modeling software</b> and at least <b>10 years of AutoCAD experience</b>.</li><li>Strong knowledge of industry practices, tools, and international codes/standards (QatarEnergy / Shell DEP).</li><li>Proven ability to supervise and manage design teams effectively.</li><li>Site-based construction and commissioning experience is an advantage.</li></ul><p><i><b>Why Join Us?</b></i></p><p>This is a unique opportunity for an experienced <b>Senior Piping Designer</b> to contribute to a high-profile Oil &amp; Gas project in Qatar.
