About the Senior Facilities Service Technician Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Facilities Service Technician to support our commercial portfolio. This is a field-based role requiring a technician who can operate independently, troubleshoot effectively, and execute high-quality work across multiple trades. This position is intended for a senior-level technician who can step in with minimal direction, take ownership of projects and service calls, and serve as a reliable go-to resource in the field.

JOB PURPOSE:</div><div>

Fontainebleau Opa-locka, a Skyservice company, is accepting applications for Lineservice Technicians. Lineservice Technicians are responsible for providing excellent customer service to arriving and departing clientele, performing a wide variety of aircraft ground servicing activities. This position involves working primarily outside during all seasons, including weekends and holidays depending on scheduling needs.</div><div>

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:</div><ul><li>
Safely marshalling in and out arriving and departing aircrafts, taking care to secure the aircraft and provide car valet service as necessary;</li><li>
Safely operate fuel trucks - fueling and completing aircraft orders;</li><li>
Handle aviation/jet fuel quality checks by conducting various tests and procedures;</li><li>
Document fuel quality and fueling equipment inspections on applicable forms;</li><li>
Tow aircraft in and out of hangars and on aprons/ramps;</li><li>
Provide any number of ground services to aircrafts (i.e. lavatory waste disposal, oxygen, and potable water etc.);</li><li>
Ensure readiness and replenishment of the anti-ice devices during winter activities;</li><li>
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct with customers and coworkers;</li><li>
Maintain the cleanliness of all facilities and equipment;</li><li>

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:</div><ul><li>

Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing system problems as soon as discovered. Senior Maintenance Technician is required to perform more complex maintenance tasks and assist with a wide range of repairs related to the facility's pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and conveyor systems.
 
 
Shift is Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm
 
 
Job Responsibilities:
<div><ul><li>Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks and complex mechanical repairs to materialhandling and other Distribution Center (DC) equipment.</li>
<li>Uses Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain distribution machinery and equipment according to the manufacturer&rsquo;s recommendations and good maintenance practices.</li>
<li>Mentors and develops Maintenance Technicians and new Senior Maintenance Technicians under the direction of management.</li>
<li>Maintains a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues concerning material-handling equipment or distribution center facility.</li>

Basic Qualifications
 
<ul><li>At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a facility, United States Armed Forces, distribution and/or manufacturing environment. OR Associate degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology AND at least 1 year of maintenance experience in a facility, United States Armed Forces, distribution and/or manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Prior experience with industrial electricity including single phase and three phase power, motors, protective devices and/or photo sensors.</li>
<li>Experience with electronics such as photo sensors, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), remote Input/output modules (I/Os), servo drives, variable frequency drives and scanning systems.</li>
<li>Willing and able to climb to the 100-foot level for repairs, lifting parts and tools weighing up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks which include repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, and walking including reasonable accommodation.</li>
