 Typical Responsibilities

 Responsible for making sure their drawings and modelling adhere to Wood, Client, project, and/or all regulatory standards.

 Carrying out various 3D modelling activities and preparation of deliverables as necessary on your appointed projects such as but not limited to Concrete &amp; Steel structures, Piperacks, all Deck structures and appurtenances, Jacket Structures, and appurtenances etc.

 Ensuring the quality, technical accuracy, and content of all project deliverables. Responsible for the self-checking attitude prior issuing drawings for checking (run a clash check in the 3D model of the items or area shown on the drawing, ensures structural compliance with structural specifications, connectivity of steel members is maintained, piece-marking system is in accordance with established guidelines, position and orientation of sites, zones, and strus are maintained etc.).

 Skills /Qualification

 Experienced with Civil and Structural 2D and 3D design tools such as Hexagon SP3D, Aveva E3D, Bentley AutoPlant, PDMS, PDS, Tekla, AutoCAD, Microstation etc. Aveva E3D experience is essential

 Aware of latest marine industry practice for structural outfitting for ships and supports Engineers to establish and review design engineering process phase deliverables.

 Enrolled on the Register of Engineers in the State of Qatar, Grade B Category as a mandatory requirement

 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
 
 Electrical Senior Project Engineer
 
 to oversee and manage electrical systems and installations for offshore drilling rigs and oil &amp; gas platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in offshore operations, electrical engineering design, and project execution in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
 
 
 
 
 
 Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead electrical engineering activities for offshore drilling rig and oil &amp; gas installation projects from concept to commissioning.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and review electrical design packages including single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, structural, and instrumentation engineers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, API, ATEX) and offshore regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS systems, and lighting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and technical evaluations on offshore platforms and rigs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supervise contractors and vendors during offshore installation and commissioning phases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare project documentation including progress reports, technical queries, and change orders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems during operations.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 7&ndash;10 years of experience in electrical engineering within offshore oil &amp; gas and drilling rig environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience with offshore installations, hazardous area classification, and marine electrical systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations in offshore operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and leadership skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 PMP or equivalent project management certification.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good experience and understanding of ATEX, IEC Offshore Installation Standards and Oil &amp; Gas electrical installation requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good knowledge of Classification Society Rules (ABS / DNV) electrical requirements.
 </li>

The successful candidate will have over 12 years of experience in brownfield engineering drawings during Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design stages, preferably within the Middle East and ideally in Qatar.
