<div><p>The Research Senior Technician provides advanced research support by independently conducting standard laboratory activities within a high energy physics (HEP) laboratory. Responsibilities include cleaning, performing surface preparation, and preparing samples for testing, as well as conducting quality assurance testing. The role sets up, operates, and maintains sputtering machines, evaporators, and other laboratory equipment.</p><p></p><p>
This position designs and assembles custom electronic circuits and laboratory equipment and develops, maintains, and modifies software and data acquisition systems to support experimental work. The role assists with the design and execution of research experiments, including data collection, analysis, and equipment procurement.</p><p></p><p>
Works with a high level of autonomy on routine assignments, applies established procedures and precedent to resolve issues, and may provide guidance or training to less experienced colleagues.</p><p></p><p><b>
