 Position Summary:
 
 
 
 The Sergeant coordinates and monitors daily security assignments and security officer performance, responding to escalated situations, including thefts and critical incidents.  What the Sergeant, Security will do:

 Acts as team leader under supervision of a Security Lieutenant and assists in leading team through standards of operations.

 Holds team accountable to achieving objectives and duties.

 What the Sergeant, Security will need:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Two years of experience as a Police Officer, Public Safety Officer, Corrections, School Security, Hospital Security, Public Act 330 Security Police Officer, Corporate Security or Military Police. May consider other experience related to security and law enforcement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Associate's degree in criminal justice or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid driver's license AND must be insurable under Trinity Health liability insurance guidelines with an acceptable driving record.
 </li>
 <li>
 No criminal record.
 </li>
 <li>
 Possess or be able to obtain State of Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL).
 </li>

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
<div>Supervises male or female inmates commensurate with the level of risk they present. Manages inmate housing areas, enforces rules and sanitation standards. Transports inmates using approved restraints and observing relevant laws, policies and procedures. Conducts accurate head counts, maintains custody and control over inmates at appointments outside the secured perimeter and escorts inmates within the secured perimeter. Inventories personal property of inmates and issues receipts.</div>

 MOI-approved Security training Certification
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid Qatar driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record

 Experience

 5-7 years of combined HSE and Security functions work experience in similar Industry / region / position across (Education, Training, Construction, Maintenance / Service, Manufacturing, Facility Management).
 </li>
 <li>
 Physically fit.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven leadership in managing SOPs, risk audits, and emergency systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience interfacing with MOI, QCDD, and regulatory bodies.
